The conclusion seems to have been decided. Matthijs de Ligt (Bayern Munich) is nearing a transfer to Manchester United.

British media Express reported on the 7th (Korea time) 'Eric Ten Hag's transfer was revealed. Manchester United maintain faith in De Ligt, reports said.

Manchester United ranked eighth in the English Premier League (EPL) in the 2023-2024 season with 18 wins, 6 draws and 14 losses (60 points). He was eliminated early in the Carabao Cup and the European Champions League (UCL). At least, he won the FA Cup final by beating Manchester City with a 'regional rival' and building his pride. After winning the FA Cup, Manchester United also confirmed its accompanying coach Ten Hag.

Coach Ten Hag is trying to strengthen his squad to turn around the new season. One of the players who is watching is De Ligt.

De Licht, born in 1999, is a defensive talent representing the Netherlands. He received worldwide attention leading the renaissance of Ajax (the Netherlands). In particular, he took the lead in overcoming Juventus (Italy), which Cristiano Ronaldo was holding out at the time, in the quarterfinals of the European Champions League (UCL) in the 2018-2019 season. He moved to Juventus through the summer 2019 transfer window, and once again moved to Bayern Munich in the summer of 2022. De Licht also played key for Bayern Munich. However, the atmosphere has changed in the 2023-2024 season. He played in 22 Bundesliga matches in Germany amid rumors of a feud with manager Thomas Tuchel. He is expected to leave Bayern Munich through the transfer window this summer.
