Hanwha Eagles officially announced on the 5th that it has hired former NC Dinos coach Yang Seung-kwan as its head coach and former women's baseball national team coach Yang Sang-moon as its pitching coach, respectively. Former head coach Chung Kyung-bae will be in charge of batting, and former pitching coach Park Seung-min will be in charge of pitching coordinator.
Hanwha, which recruited head coach Kim Kyung-moon, aims to step up further ahead of the second half of the 2024 season.
Head coach Yang Seung-kwan was a founding member of the Sammi Superstars in 1982. He retired from the LG Twins after going through the Sammi-Cheongbo Pintos-Pacific Dolphins.
Since then, he has shown off his ability by joining several teams, including LG, Pacific-Hyundai Unicorns, SK Wyverns, Nexen Heroes, and NC Dinos. He, who was also a coach at Inha University, has been appointed as the head of the Paju Challengers since 2020 and has led the representative team of the Korean independent league for five years.

Yang Sang-moon, a pitching coach, is a big man who played in the Cheongbo-Pacific with the Lotte Giants as a player, and has since gone through Lotte and LG to become a pitching coach, manager, and general manager. After that, he served as a baseball commentator and manager of the women's national baseball team.
He returns as a pitching coach at the call of manager Kim Kyung-moon, a senior at Dongseong Middle School and Korea University. It's the first time the two of them are together on a professional show.
