Aldred struck out Hong Chang-ki and Moon Sung-joo on three pitches in a row in the bottom of the first inning. He played with Austin Dean until the eighth pitch, but even this one ended with a strikeout, starting the first inning in a good mood.

Since then, a spectacular strikeout show has continued. In the bottom of the second inning, he caught the first batter Moon Bo-kyung with a foul fly and struck out Park Dong-won and Oh Ji-hwan in a row. In the bottom of the third inning, Koo Bon-hyuk and Park Hae-min struck out one after another, continuing their perfect pitching.

LG hitters didn't stay still. He began adjusting his at-bat position and timing to respond to Aldred's sweeper coming in with a big curve from the outside. However, Aldred proved his outstanding pitching by batting three batters in the fourth inning. By striking out Moon Bo-kyung, the first batter in the bottom of the fifth inning, he set a new record for the most strikeouts in a single game since entering the KBO League.

Aldred sprayed sweeper again in the full count match against Park Dong-won after one out in the bottom of the fifth inning, but he eventually allowed his first on-base as he left the zone significantly. However, in Oh Ji-hwan's subsequent at-bat, he easily reached the winning requirements by leading to a double play by the third baseman and finishing the inning in three batters.

Aldred is back on the mound in the seventh inning. Aldred, who grounded out Moon Sung-joo for the first batter, allowed Austin the only hit of the day. When Moon Bo-kyung grounded out to the second base, pitcher coach Jung Jae-hoon took the mound. KIA fans cheered for Aldred coming down the mound.

Aldred, who wore his KIA uniform as a substitute for Wil Crowe on May 31, got off to a shaky start with six runs in three innings against the Doosan Bears on June 8, his debut. However, he started the game against KT on June 14 with five scoreless innings, followed by a series of good pitching against LG on June 20 (self-imposed six innings) and Lotte on June 26 (two runs in six innings), raising expectations. In the match against Samsung on the 3rd, which was the last pitch of the first half, he was disappointed with four runs in four ⅔ innings, but he proved his true value by pitching well against LG on the day of his first appearance in the second half.

KIA is expected to face considerable difficulties in the absence of foreign pitchers after Crowe left. However, as Aldred dispels concerns, not only will he solidify the lead, but his challenge to the V12 will also gain momentum.
