Korea MMA Federation Dispatches Athletes, Judges to the 2nd Asian MMA Championships to be held in Cambodia

The Korean MMA Federation will send a team and a referee team to the 2nd Asian MMA Championship, which will be held at Phnom Penh National Olympic Stadium in Cambodia from the 6th to the 13th.
The Asian MMA Championship is hosted by the Asian MMA Federation (AMMA), a member of the OCA (Asia Olympic Council), and started last year, and the second competition this year was organized by the Cambodian MMA Federation.
The South Korean team is aiming for a gold medal with Park Seo-young (54kg in women's traditional), Lee Bo-mi (54kg in women's modern), and Kim Ha-jin (72kg in men's traditional) participating, led by general manager Moon-hong and head coach Kim Geum-cheon. The referee team consists of four members, including Kim Sung-tae, Yang Seo-woo, former Sung-won, and Seo Hye-rin.
Chung Moon-hong, chairman of the Korean MMA Federation, is constantly working on the international stage to help MMA grow as an institutional sport, including Korea's MMA's participation in the Asian Games. Chairman Chung will visit the site of the Asian MMA Championship this year following last year and meet with officials to develop MMA in Korea.
The official schedule for the 2nd Asian MMA Championship begins on the 6th. The AMMA Judgment Seminar and Test will be held until the 9th, and Kim Sung-tae, Yang Seo-woo, former Sung-won and Seo Hye-rin will participate in the seminar and test as an international judge.
From the 10th, technical meetings between players and leaders will begin. The South Korean team, which will attend the technical meeting, will once again familiarize itself with the rules of the competition to complete preparations for the competition.
The official match will be held for three days from the 11th to the 13th. Park Seo-young, Lee Bo-mi, and Kim Ha-jin will participate in the Korean squad, led by head coach Kim Geum-cheon.
The Korean team and the referee team are scheduled to return home via Incheon International Airport on the 14th after completing their official schedule on the 13th.
Meanwhile, Road FC will hold ARC 009 at the Lotte World Vita 500 Coliseum in Jamsil at 5 p.m. on the 13th and will be broadcast live exclusively on Afreeca TV. On August 31, the quarterfinals of the Road FC Global Tournament will be held at Wonju Gymnasium with the opening ceremony of the Wonju MMA Sports Festival. Last year's winner, Russia's Artur Soloviev and Road FC's youngest champion, Park Si-won, will participate in the event.
