Krafton Co-Hosts Seoul in September 'PUBG NATION CUP 2024'

Krafton and the Seoul Metropolitan Government will co-host the 'Battlegrounds' e-sports national competition 'Pubg Nations Cup (PNC) 2024'.
Prior to this, a memorandum of understanding was signed to co-host PNC 2024 at Seosomun 2 Government Complex in Seoul City Hall on the 17th. The signing ceremony was attended by key officials from both sides, including Lee Min-ho, general manager of Krafton e-sports, and Lee Hae-woo, head of the Seoul Metropolitan Government's economic office.
The PNC is a national competition in which 16 teams from each country compete each year for 'Battlegrounds' e-sports. Four players selected from professional teams from each country will form a national team to compete with national teams from each country.
Based on this agreement, PNC 2024 will be held from September 6-8 at Kyung Hee University Peace Hall in Hoegi-dong, Dongdaemun-gu, Seoul, and will be the main event of the Seoul Metropolitan Government's first push for the growth of the game and e-sports industry this year.
Krafton will run civic participation programs in conjunction with PNC 2024 to promote the value of e-sports to Seoul citizens. It provides stadium tour programs for citizens, game job mentoring programs for teenagers, and support for game development contests for college students. It will also produce and sell collaborative goods using PNC 2024's IP and Seoul's mascot 'Hatch and Soul Friends', and donate the entire proceeds.
Based on the successful operation of PNC 2024, the Seoul Metropolitan Government will support the competition in various ways to show the competitiveness of the e-sports industry to domestic and foreign e-sports fans. Support measures include outdoor advertising, promotions, and marketing activities in Seoul to support stadium rental and increase brand awareness of PNC 2024 and 'Battlegrounds' esports.
Lee Hae-woo, head of the Seoul Economic Office, said, `We are pleased to be able to share this year's GES 2024, which will be held for the first time, with Krafton, and provide citizens with a wealth of attractions and entertainment.''We hope that the successful hosting of GES 2024 will contribute to the development of the game industry and related industries and the revitalization of e-sports.'
Lee Min-ho, general manager of Krafton e-sports, said, `As the PNC 2024 is being held in Seoul, I hope that more domestic 'Battlegrounds' e-sports fans will come to the stadium and enjoy the competition as much as they want.' We will make every effort to strengthen our cooperative relationship with the Seoul Metropolitan Government and promote the game culture and the e-sports industry in the future for the successful operation and success of PNC 2024.'
