Rookie Lee Dong-eun recorded this hole-in-one and received a diamond carat worth 10 million won as an injury. Lee Dong-eun recorded a hole-in-one at the sixth hole (par 3) in the third round of the High1 Resort Women's Open 2024 at High1 Country Club (par 72) in Jeongseon-gun, Gangwon-do on the 13th.

As the first hole-in-one of the tournament from the 6th hole, Lee Dong-eun will receive 'Diamond 1 Carat' worth 10 million won raised by Shin-Dong-A Golf as an injury. In the par-3 hole at a distance of 150 meters, Lee Dong-eun dropped a tee shot in front of the left side of the pin with a 7-iron, and flowed along the slice slope and was sucked into the hole cup. Lee Dong-eun, who was puzzled by the gallery's cheers, belatedly grasped the situation and enjoyed his luck with joy.

Lee Dong-eun recorded 3-under 69 with three birdies without a bogey in the second round of the previous day, and played no bogey in the second round following the first round, maintaining her No. 1 ranking for two consecutive days.

He started the third round with Ko Ji-woo Jeon Ye-sung as the lone lead with 12-under 132, but made a double bogey on the second hole (par 4), giving up the lead to Ko Ji-woo in the same group.

The atmosphere that could have been slightly depressed as the first bogey of this tournament became a double bogey. However, the hole-in-one of the sixth hole is expected to turn the tables. Lee Dong-eun made up for the two shots she lost on the day with a hole-in-one, chasing the first and second-place players in the same group, including Ko Ji-woo and Jeon Ye-sung, with 12-under par.

This is the second hole-in-one in this tournament.

The first hole-in-one was Lee Seung-yeon's first hole-in-one of the regular season by dropping her tee shot into the hole cup at Hole 16, a 157-meter par-3 hole, on the 12th, the previous day. Lee Seung-yeon received a 'BMW 520i' vehicle worth 70 million won for her injuries in the hole.

Lee Dong-eun, a former national team player when she was an amateur, inherited golf DNA from her parents, including Lee Kun-hee, a father who played in the Korea Professional Golf Association (KPGA) tour for nearly 20 years, and Lee Sun-joo, a former KLPGA tour associate member.

After winning one victory in the Dream (part 2) tour last year, he entered the regular tour this year.

Lee Dong-eun, who tied for second place by one stroke at the Nexen/St. Nine competitions in April, played in a total of 15 competitions and recorded the top 10 three times. After Yoo Hyun-jo (827 points), who ranked first in points for the Rookie of the Year award, he ranked second (603 points).

The winner of this competition will receive 230 points for the Rookie of the Year award. If he succeeds in winning his first rookie of the season, he is expected to stage a fierce competition with Yoo Hyun-jo for the Rookie of the Year.
