The Korea Professional Football Federation announced on the 16th the list of the team K League's 'Fan Eleven' to play against Tottenham in the 1st game of the Coupang Play Series at Seoul World Cup Stadium on the 31st. Based on the best 11 of each team submitted by 12 K League 1 clubs, the Federation Technical Committee (TSG) selected four times the candidates, and from the 5th to the 14th, three strikers, three midfielders, four defenders, and one goalkeeper were finally selected through fan voting for the official K League application 'Kick'.
The most voted was Lee Seung-woo, the ace of Suwon FC. Lee Seung-woo received a total of 48,086 votes, overwhelmingly topping the list of 44 candidates. Following Lee Seung-woo, Jesse Lingard (Seoul), Hwang Jae-won (Daegu), Cesinha (Daegu), and Ki Sung-yueng (Seoul) received many votes.
In the striker category, Cesinha (37,235 votes in Daegu) and Joo Min-gyu (31,843 votes in Ulsan) were selected along with Lee Seung-woo, who got the most votes.
In the midfielder category, Ki Sung-yueng (Seoul, 34,775 votes) and Lee Dong-kyung (Kim Chun, 31,965 votes) were listed along with 「Manchester United」 superstar Lingard (Seoul, 46,792). Lingard faced Tottenham again, who often faced off during his EPL days, and Ki Sung-yueng reunited with Son Heung-min, his junior in the national team.
In the defender category, Hwang Jae-won (45,409 votes in Daegu) and Choi Joon (34,192 votes in Seoul) were selected side by side, followed by Park Jin-seop (31,670 votes in Jeonbuk) and Wandelson (Pohang, 39,966 votes).
In the goalkeeper category, Cho Hyun-woo (Ulsan, 31,736 votes), who is playing before the game this season, was selected.
On the other hand, in addition to the 11 players listed on the 「Fan Eleven」, Gangwon Yang Min-hyuk was selected on the 2nd to select one player under the age of 22 who showed the best performance this season.
After that, the team's K-League coaching staff will select an additional 10 people 'Picture'. In additional selection, the position and the allocation of the number of personnel for each team are considered. In addition, if a player selected for the team K League moves to a team other than the K League 1 or cannot be called up due to injury, etc., the federation and its affiliated clubs will consult and be excluded from the list. Vacancies arising from the excluded players shall be replaced by the next-ranked player in the Fan Eleven voting.
