The Korea Professional Football Federation announced the list of players scheduled to acquire FA qualifications in 2025 on the 1st. A total of 349 players are subject to disclosure. By league, K League 1 has 149 players and K League 2 has 200 players, while Daegu (21 players), Ulsan Gwangju (6 players) and Ansan (31) and Bucheon (8 players) have the most and few candidates for FA qualification.

Among them, 348 people who registered for the first time in the K-League since 2005 will acquire FA status by expiring their contract period on December 31 this year, and after obtaining FA status, they can freely sign player contracts with other clubs. However, if the contract is renewed with the current club before the expiration of the contract period, the FA qualification will not be obtained. Players who first registered in the K-League before 2004 will be eligible for FA upon expiration of the contract period if they play more than 50% of the official games played by their teams during the contract period according to the regulations at the time. Players who are scheduled to acquire FA qualifications can negotiate joining not only with their current clubs but also with other clubs from July 1 of the year when the contract period expires. However, if another club initiates negotiations with a player scheduled to acquire FA qualification, the player's current club must be notified in advance of the start of negotiations in writing.
