Another 'Big Fish' heats up the K-League. Lee Young-joon (21, Suwon FC) was born in 2003. Lee Young-joon, who joined the military on January 16 last year, was discharged from the military on the 15th. He leaves Gimcheon Sangmu and joins Suwon FC for now.

Lee Young-joon, who is 1m 90 and tall, appeared in the K-League like a comet in 2021. He made the K League 1 stage as a member of Suwon FC in March 2021. At that time, Lee Young-joon was attending Sinpyeong High School. Suwon FC's under-18 team recruited it. He made his professional debut through a semi-professional contract, but actually signed a rookie contract. In addition to the height, he was evaluated as having good shooting ability.

The professional wall was high. The potential was abundant, but adaptation took time. Lee Young-joon left one assist in 13 games in 2021 and one goal and one assist in 16 games in 2022. He made a decision. He chose to join the military in 2023 when he was 20. It was a stroke of God. At Gimcheon Sangmu, he gained experience by steadily participating in games with the U-22 card. He played as a key striker in the U-20 national team and the Olympic national team. In particular, he took the lead in South Korea's advance to the semifinals at the 2023 FIFA U-20 World Cup.

Expectations are high for Lee Young-joon. The 21-year-old tall striker is in high demand as he has completed his military service. Rumors of overseas expansion are already circulating. In fact, Bae Joon-ho (21, Stoke City) and Kim Ji-soo (20, Brentford), who took the U-20 World Cup stage with him, are playing in Europe.

At a discharge ceremony held at Gimcheon Sports Complex on the 14th, Lee Young-joon said, "Nothing has been decided. I don't even have to tell you. After being discharged from the military, we will go to Suwon FC. I will exercise and prepare for the game according to the instructions of Suwon FC coaches, brothers, and staff. It would be nice to go out (Europe). But I'm preparing well, paying attention to the situation right in front of me."
