Kim Ha-sung started as the 7th shortstop in the last of three consecutive away games against the Boston Red Sox at Fenway Park on the 1st (Korea time) and recorded 1 hit and 1 RBI in 3 at-bats. But San Diego lost 1-4.
Kim Ha-sung, who has had hits in nine consecutive games since the game against the Milwaukee Brewers on the 22nd of last month, raised his batting average to 0.228 (66 hits in 289 at-bats). His batting average during this period was 0.344 (11 hits in 32 at-bats). Kim Ha-sung marked 10 home runs, 38 RBIs, 45 points, 47 walks, 15 steals, a on-base percentage of 0.336, a slugging percentage of 0.388, and an OPS of 0.724.
Kim Ha-sung hit a grounder to the third base with one out and runners on the first and second bases in the top of the second inning, trailing 0-2, leading the chance to the second and third bases. Boston right-hander Josh Winkowski's 90.2-mile first-pitch changeup missed a miss and spilled in front of third baseman Rafael Devers. Second baseman Manny Machado and first baseman Jackson Merrill advanced to one base each, but the next batter Kyle Higashioka grounded out to the first base and did not lead to a score.
Trailing 0-3, he made a bunt in the fifth inning. The lead, Merrill, advanced with a left-handed hit, and was on first base with no outs. Kim Ha-sung, who was in a normal hitting position, changed to bunting motion and made a fast-flowing ball toward first base when Winkowski's first pitch 93.1 miles changeup flew toward his body, advancing Meryl to second base. The second sacrifice bunt of the season after the Milwaukee Brewers match on April 17. However, San Diego failed to score again due to a failed follow-up.

After two outs in the top of the ninth inning, trailing 1-4, he stepped down with a fly to center field in his last at-bat. Boston closer Kenley Jansen's 92.7-mile sinker on the third pitch with a ball count of 1B1S was well hit, but center fielder Sedane Raphael moved to the left and caught it.
San Diego starter Matt Waldron allowed six hits and four runs (three earned runs) in four ½ innings, marking 5-7 with a 3.56 ERA. Boston starter Winkowski won two games (one loss) this season with four hits and no runs in five innings, lowering his ERA to 2.80.
Boston took the lead with Devers' two-run homer to left in the bottom of the first inning with two outs and runners on the first and third bases with two outs, and third baseman Willier Abreu homered to widen the gap to 3-0. In the fifth inning, the lead was widened to 4-0 with a superior solo home run by leadoff Jaeran Duran.
San Diego stopped its five-game winning streak, but won three consecutive winning series, keeping second place in the National League West and second place in the wild card with 46 wins and 42 losses.
