Data have been released to look at the `traditional rankings' of clubs belonging to Korean European teams.

Data company 'Swiss Football Data' has been ranking and scoring all European clubs based on their past European club competition performance. This is to find out which club is the most successful in Europe in history. The media updated its ranking on the 10th (local time) based on data compiled by all teams participating in European tournaments since the 1955-1956 season, when the European Cup (the predecessor of the European Champions League) was launched.

Bayern Munich has the highest score among clubs with Korean European players. Munich scored 142.319 points, ranking fourth overall behind Real Madrid (189.184), Barcelona (178.156), and Benfica (149.219).

Munich won a total of six Champions League titles during this period. He won three consecutive championships from 1974 to 1976, and also won in 2001, 2013 and 2020. After Real (15th) and AC Milan (7th), the number of big years is the highest. It is tied with Liverpool.

Kim Min-jae transferred from Napoli to Munich in the summer of 2023 for a transfer fee of 50 million euros. Munich has yet to win the trophy as it fell into an all-time slump in the 2023-2024 season.

The prestigious Scottish Celtic, which includes Korean trio such as Yang Hyun-joon, Oh Hyun-kyu and Kwon Hyuk-kyu, ranked second in the traditional Korean European rankings. He is 15th overall with 104.250 points. Celtic won Europe in 1967. He is a regular in the Champions League.

Tsurvena Zvezda is the third to have Hwang In-beom and Seol Young-woo. 16th overall with 104.242 points. Zvezda, formerly widely known as Red Star Belgrade, has a history of winning the Champions League in 1991. Hwang In-beom, who joined Zvezda last season, made his Champions League debut. He also scored his debut goal against Manchester City.

Next are Paris Saint-Germain (27th), where Lee Kang-in plays, Partizan (40th), where Ko Young-joon plays in his second year in Europe, Tottenham (44th), Hong Hyun-suk's Hent (119th), Meat Willan (161st), Baek Seung-ho's Birmingham City (188th), where Hwang Hee-chan plays, Hwang Ui-jo's Nottingham Forest (231th), Bae Joon-ho's Stoke City (562nd), and Lee Jae-sung's Mainz (610th).

In terms of European football as a whole, Tottenham and Paris Saint-Germain are close to the recent prominence of 'emergency'. As he had no experience of winning the Champions League, he did not rise to a high position in the `traditional ranking.'
