Kangwon FC announced on the 10th that it has recruited striker Franco Kovasevic (25) from Croatia's Cheng University. Number nine.

The Gangwon club said, `Kobasevich is a striker who can be used in various ways for the offense. He mainly played center forward in two-top and left wing forward in three-top. Kovasevich, who boasts a sturdy physique of 1m86-80kg, introduced himself as a free-for-all on both feet and features a daredevil dribble and sophisticated ball control".

Kovasevich said "I feel very good and honored to be in Gangwon. Before joining Gangwon, I asked the players around me, and they all talked a lot about good things. Gangwon is doing very well this year in a very high ranking"I chose No. 9 with a good memory of playing well. My goal is to contribute to our team winning many games. I will only think about team victory rather than individual goals."

Kovasevich made his debut in the 2017-2018 season with HNK Haiduk in Croatia's first division. He transferred to Hoffenheim, Germany, ahead of the 2019-2020 season after loaning out of NK Rudesse, Croatia, but failed to make his first-team debut. In the 2022-2023 season, he made his presence known with 12 goals and 6 assists in 31 games in the first division of Slovenia, NK Domzale. Last season, he scored four goals in 23 games for SV Behen Wiesbaden in the German second division.

Starting with the U-17 national team, Kovasevich has played for Croatia's national teams by age, including the U-18 and U-21 teams.

Gangwon previously hired Australian playmaker Henry. Henry, Kovasevich increased his offensive options. Yago, the team's highest scorer, left the team for Ulsan earlier this month due to the expiration of his contract.

Meanwhile, Kovasevich, who completed his medical test and contract on the 9th, will greet the team returning from the match against Pohang (9th) on the 10th and immediately join training.
