Daejeon Hana Citizen has recruited midfielder Kim Hyun-wook 'Small Giant'.

Kim Hyun-wook, from Dongnae High School and Hanyang University, made his professional debut by joining Jeju United in 2017 as a promising player who was drawing attention as his best technique in college.

In his first year, he played only three games, but in 2018, he played in 22 games and scored four goals and two assists. Kim Hyun-wook, who moved to the Jeonnam Dragons in 2020 after Gangwon FC (2019), played more than 20 games every year and scored eight goals and six assists in 84 games in three years. In particular, in the 2021 season, he was honored to be selected in the K League 2 Best 11 Midfielder category with his best performance, including 3 points and 4 assists in 35 games. Kim Hyun-wook, who joined Gimcheon Sangmu in 2023 to join the military, played 28 games in his first season and played 14 games this year, contributing greatly to Gimcheon's competition to lead the K League 1 with five goals and one assist.

Kim Hyun-wook is a multiplayer who can play both offensive and defensive midfielders. Although it is short at 1m60, it is very active, has excellent space utilization using speed and agility, and its bold mid-range shooting ability is also considered an advantage. In particular, he is a player who stands out for his passionate play and vicious grit that does not spare himself enough to be called a "small giant" by soccer fans. It is also the epitome of consistency and sincerity, recording more than 20 business trips every year since 2018. Based on his outstanding skills and leadership, he led the team as captain in Jeonnam in 2022 and Gimcheon in 2024.

Currently, he is a player who can be a great help not only in performance but also in spirit to Daejeon, which is in trouble by ranking 12th in the K League 1. It is expected that he will play a key player who will maximize the strengths of existing strikers recruited earlier, such as Chun Sung-hoon and Park Jung-in, and pioneer the path of attack.
