Tottenham released the list of pre-season Asian tour squads on its official website on the 23rd (Korea time) saying, `The squad for the pre-season tour to Japan and Korea has been confirmed.'
Tottenham and Son Heung-min, who entered the official preseason game schedule starting with the last Hearts match, later played a game against the Queens Park Rangers. Now I'm leaving for Asia. After playing against Vissel Kobe in Japan, Korea will also play against Team K League and Bayern Munich on the 31st and August 3rd, respectively.
Earlier, Tottenham also released photos and videos of players boarding planes for the Asian tour on the club's SNS.

There are some players who are excluded. Fraser Forster stays at Tottenham for rehabilitation with a fractured foot, while Rodrigo Bentancourt, Giovanni Roselso and Christian Romero are on holiday without joining the squad in the aftermath of Copa America 2024. Mickey Panderpen is also expected to join the squad ahead of the season due to his progress to the semi-finals of Euro 2024.
Also, Brian Hill and Sergio Reguilon are reportedly staying with the club to prepare for the transfer instead of the Asian tour as they are preparing to move.

Bentancur appeared on Uruguay's Forla Kamiseta in June and was asked to save Son Heung-min's uniform. But when asked, he said, `What about Son's cousin's uniform. Son Heung-min and his cousin look exactly the same," he replied with a racist remark. Fans who judged that his remarks were disparaging to Asians after the remarks criticized him, and although Bentancourt left a short apology, the anger of the fans did not fade easily.
As the controversy continued, Son Heung-min persuaded his fans by issuing his statement. Son Heung-min has already talked about it with Bentancourt. He made a mistake, knows it, and has already apologized. Bentancourt didn't mean to say something aggressively. We're brothers, nothing changes. Now it's past, and we're one. We will meet again in pre-season and fight as a team," he said, concluding his position with a heart emoji.
The incident has since subsided, but Bentancourt's absence from the tour eliminated the possibility of directly apologizing for racism against Asians in front of fans this summer.
