[London (UK) = Egan Sports Chosun.COM reporter] Manchester United has re-signed Johnny Evans.

Manchester United announced the news on its official channel on the 12th. It will expire in the summer of 2025 with a one-year contract renewal. Evans is from United Youth. He played in Manchester United's first team from the 2008-2009 season. He also lifted a lot of trophies, including three Premier League wins, one European Champions League win, and two full-ball league cups.

Evans moved to West Bromwich in 2015. Three seasons later, he moved to Leicester City. He played for Leicester City for five seasons. With Leicester City being demoted in the 2022-2023 season, Evans became a free agent.

That's when Manchester United called him out. At the beginning of the season, center backs were lined up and defensive resources were needed. Evans has played 30 games since returning to Manchester United. The 36-year-old veteran devoted himself to the team. The price was to renew the contract. United still need to defend. Raphael Varane left the team. Looking to bring in a new centre-back, but no tangible results yet. So Evans's presence became important. Evans is ready to play for Manchester United for another season.
