'The Korean Guy'Como, an Italian club suspected of being racist toward Hwang Hee-chan (Wolverhampton), has issued an official statement in this regard.

Como mentioned a racist incident during a preseason friendly between Wolverhampton and Como in Marveya, Spain, on the 16th (Korea time).

Hwang Hee-chan heard racist remarks from the opponent's defender during the second half of the game, and Daniel Podence, a fellow Wolverhampton player who resented them, was sent off with a fist swing.

England 'Express & Star' was when Wolverhampton led 1-0 by the 23rd minute of the second half. Daniel Podense was sent off after punching Como's defender during a fight between the two players. Hwang Hee-chan complained to Como about racist remarks and summarized the incident after Wolves players got angry together."

Speaking to Express & Star after the game, O'Neill said, `Hwang Hee-chan was angry at one of the opposing players. Teammates comforted and supported Hwang Hee-chan. Fodense tried to support Hwang Hee-chan, but was sent off because the action was a little excessive. He apologized for this. It may have been for his team-mates, but he has to keep his good faith."

O'Neill kept saying, `When I asked Hwang Hee-chan if he wanted me to stop playing, he said he wanted to keep playing. Hwang Hee-chan did his best for the team even in such a painful situation. It shows what Hwang Hee-chan is like to us and how important he is. He will have our full support.'

Finally "I'm really disappointed with the racist incident. Before the incident, the two teams played well.'

It is not yet clear exactly what Como defender said to Hwang Hee-chan.

In response, the Como club first said "Our club does not tolerate racism and absolutely opposes all forms of racism.

The club said "We spoke with the player's lawyer to see what he meant. Here's what our player said to his lawyer. Ignore him. He thinks he's Jackie Chan. After a long conversation with the player, we were able to confirm that Wolverhampton players constantly referred to (Hwang Hee-chan)'Chani'."

It is an absurd explanation that Como said that Hwang Hee-chan was 'Jackichan' because Wolverhampton players called Hwang Hee-chan 'Chani'.

"Our player has never said anything deliberately disparaging his opponent," Como said. "It is disappointing that some Wolverhampton players have made the incident look too exaggerated."

On the evening of the 15th, Wolverhampton issued an official statement saying, `No form of racism or discrimination is acceptable and should be ignored. Our club will file an official complaint with the UEFA regarding the incident."

Meanwhile, Hwang Hee-chan has been embroiled in rumors of a transfer to France's prestigious Olympique de Marseille. French media 'Foot Mercato' reported that Hwang Hee-chan personally agreed to transfer to Marseille.
