"You have to play soccer sincerely until the end."

This is what FC Seoul coach Kim Ki-dong said.

FC Seoul came from behind to win 2-1 in the home game of 'Hana Bank K League 1 2024' against Daejeon Hana Citizen at the Seoul World Cup Stadium on the 10th. Seoul (8 wins, 6 draws and 8 losses) has emerged from a losing streak.

After the game, coach Kim said "I think I'm going through a difficult time well. The team seems to be playing with a sense of stability. Looks like there's a 'Winning Mentality' in the team. In the past, there was a case of hesitation when one goal was allowed. Now he has shown his efforts to the end. It has grown a lot, and I can see it becoming solid. Thank you to the players who did their best until the end. I want to thank the fans for trusting the team, trusting me, and supporting me."

It was a thrilling come-from-behind victory. Seoul scored the first goal in the first six minutes of the first half. However, Cho Young-wook scored 15 minutes into the second half and Jesse Lingard scored five minutes later to win.

Coach Kim said, `I haven't met with the players yet. It seems that the player and the coach have gained faith in each other. I think I'm encouraged by the players' awareness that we're playing good football. I think the players trust me and follow me. Lingard also tells the players before the game 'We're always playing good football' If you do what you prepare, you can win. I want to tell you that such belief is the driving force behind the team's growth and progress."

After the game, coach Kim was seen pressing Lingard. He pressed "Lingard. With the ball in the game we were winning, we almost gave the opponent a chance to lose. He says it's a foul, but the referee makes such a decision. You don't do it yourself. You have to play soccer sincerely until the end. He held his ear and said he would have to do it for the team until the whistle blew. I'm aware of it myself", he explained.

Seoul will play an away game against Ulsan HD on the 13th. Coach Kim once said, `If we lose one game, we will lose consecutive games. I know we haven't beaten Ulsan for quite a while. It's a burdensome game. He showed a strong mental aspect. The players showed a strong performance that they could turn the tables without giving up until the end. I think the players will be able to do it with confidence in the rest of the schedule. You can win or lose, but I think you can drive without getting off. I will push the players in that direction as well."
