South Korea's women's archery team defeated difficult opponent Taiwan 6-2 in the quarterfinals of the women's archery team event at the 2024 Paris Olympics held at Léjen-Balleed Stadium in Paris, France on the 28th (Korea time).
The match came early. It was the first set.
The wind shook.
The Korean national team has decided on the order of shooting in the order of the oldest sister Jeon Hoon-young (Incheon City Hall), the youngest Nam Soo-hyun (Suncheon City Hall), and ace Lim Ji-hyun (Korea National Sports University).
Jeon Hoon-young shot 8 points and 8 points in all of the first set. The wind was a variable. Nam Soo-hyun and Im Si-hyun both finished with nine points.
Taiwan, Tsuiqing and Lei Chen Ying were off to a flying start. Ace Chewing shot 9 and 10 points, and so did Lei Chen Ying.
Li Chai-chi, who shot seven points in the first shot, was uneasy. However, Korea's 52-45 lead with one last foot left. If Li Chai-chi shot just eight points, Taiwan could take the first set. However, 18-year-old Li Chai-chi shot six points, and eventually South Korea won 52-51. It was a dizzying moment.
Korea struggled in the first and second sets. I shot a total of 52 points. It was a poor record. In the second set, Taiwan shot 56 points and took two set points. If it weren't for Li Chai-chi's six points in the first set, it could have been completely pushed to a set score of 4-0.
18-year-old Lee Chai-chi is Taiwan's next-generation ace. However, it was revealed early in the quarterfinals due to lack of experience. However, he was definitely a player of strong talent. Since then, Lee Cha-ichi, who has stabilized after the first set of turmoil, has regained stability as he repeats the set. He shot 10-9-9-9-10 in turn.
The strongest Korean women's archery team, which is trying to win 10 consecutive Olympic team titles, was definitely strong. He won the game 54-53 in the third set, by one point. South Korea, which took the lead, defeated its opponent Taiwan by shooting 56 points, the highest in the quarterfinals in the fourth set.
