Kiwoom has formed a starting lineup of Lee Joo-hyung (right wing), Ronnie Dawson (left wing), Kim Hye-sung (second baseman), Song Sung-moon (third baseman), Choi Joo-hwan (first baseman), Byun Sang-won (designated hitter), Kim Jae-hyun (captor), Kim Tae-jin (fielders), and Jang Jae-young (middle fielder) in the home game against the LG Twins at Gocheok Sky Dome on the 2nd.
Except for Kim Jae-hyun and Jang Jae-young, all seven are left-handed hitters.
He deployed a large number of left-handed batters to face LG starter Casey Kelly.
Kelly pitched in 16 games this season, winning 4-7 with a 4.66 ERA, not a very good performance, but he was good with 2-1 with a 2.91 ERA in June.
In particular, he showed good condition by pitching perfectly until the 8th inning of the Jamsil Samsung match on June 25, the previous mound, with one hit and no four outs until the 9th inning. After six days off, he will take the mound again on Tuesday, so he will take the mound after taking enough rest physically.
It wasn't good against Kiwoom. In both games, he became a losing pitcher. Still, he has a good ERA of 2.45.
On March 31, he became a losing pitcher with nine hits (one home run) and three runs in five innings in Gocheok game (4-8 loss), and on May 14, he pitched well with nine hits and two runs (non-earned) in six innings in Jamsil game, but lost 0-5 due to lack of help from the batters.
There was a big difference in the hit rate between right-handed and left-handed hitters.
The hit rate was .263 (49 hits in 186 at-bats) for right-handed hitters, but the hit rate was .302 (58 hits in 192 at-bats) for left-handed hitters.
Kiwoom also used a large number of left-handed batters based on this data.
