The program, which was held at the Seoul Olympic Parktel for two days from the 8th, was designed to bridge the welfare gap between regions by expanding cultural experience opportunities for youth in areas vulnerable to cultural environment.
More than 30 middle school students from three small schools (Mupung, Jeoksang, Bunam) with less than 15 students from Muju-gun, a vulnerable cultural environment, attended and enjoyed a variety of programs, including 'Seoul Olympic Legacy Tour', 'Delicious Table Manners Education' and Lotte World.
In particular, it received great response from students who participated in the 'Legacy Tour' where they can learn the tangible and intangible heritage of the 88 Seoul Olympics and the education where they can experience Western table manners that are not usually encountered.
"Seoul Olympic Parktel is a world-class youth hostel where you can feel the natural environment and Olympic heritage in the city center. We will provide more diverse programs to students from farming and fishing villages who have relatively few opportunities to experience culture in the future."," he said.
Meanwhile, the Sports Corporation plans to develop and operate the 'Welcome Park' program, including expanding the number of beneficiary schools and students starting next year.
