Sports Corporation promotes 'Project for Educational Support for Overseas Study of the Disabled'
The Seoul Olympic Memorial National Sports Promotion Foundation (Chairman Cho Hyun-jae) will promote the "2024 Overseas Study Education Support Project" to provide athletes with opportunities to develop their careers and advance into society with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

The 'International Studies Education Support Project' is a project aimed at fostering professional human resources by obtaining degrees in foreign universities, master's and doctoral degrees, or supporting short-term education and research courses, and this year, one of the current and former disabled national athletes or leaders will be selected to support it.

Any athlete with a disability who has a national team player or leader's experience and an admission permit or short-term course invitation letter from a foreign educational institution may apply. However, it is limited to those who have foreign language grades who can complete the training. If you are selected as a target, you can receive support for admission fees, tuition fees, and stay expenses required for a short-term course to a maximum of four years of degree programs within one year.

Those who wish to apply may apply through the sports organization for each event, and the application period varies for each event. For more information, visit the Sports Corporation website, the Korea Sports Council for the Disabled, and contact sports organizations for each event.

Meanwhile, through this project, the Sports Corporation has been supporting national representatives such as Lee Won-hee (judo, Athens Olympic gold medal) and Sung Si-baek (ice, Vancouver Olympic silver) for the past decade and is striving to cultivate experts in various fields.
