The recruitment of participants for the 「Ice Prize One Point Lesson" will begin on the 2nd as part of the talent donation with Incheon Metropolitan City (Mayor Yoo Jeong-bok), which is operated by Sports Toto Korea, a trustee of Sports Toto, a sports promotion voting ticket issued by the Korea Sports Promotion Foundation.
This event will be held at the Incheon Sunhak International Ice Rink for a total of 100 people (50 people per session) twice on the weekend of the 13th and 20th.
The talent donation event, which will be held for the second time since last year to develop the ice skating in Incheon Metropolitan City and expand the base of the ice prize, will feature Kim Dong-wook and Park Jang-hyuk, who won silver medals in the men's short track speed skating relay of the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics, as well as 10 former and current national team members and five coaching staff.
In the lesson, five club members will be assigned to one Sports Toto ice rink player. It is expected to be an unforgettable two hours for hobbyists as it systematically proceeds from basic movements to advanced skating training through simple level tests.
When the event is over, club members will be provided with a group photo shoot and a time to take commemorative photos with their personal favorite Sports Toto ice skating players.
Meanwhile, this event is organized by Sports Toto Korea, and the Incheon Metropolitan City Sports Council and Major Sports Industry Co., Ltd. (CEO Park Dong-kyu), which has operated and managed Sunhak International Ice Rink since 2018, are in charge of cooperation and sponsorship.
The Incheon Metropolitan City Sports Council will support the recruitment of participants and promotional activities for the event, and in the case of the major sports industry, all matters related to the promotion of the event, such as the exclusive use of the ice rink, skating shoes, helmets, and protective equipment, will be provided free of charge.
Song Young-woong, CEO of Sports Toto Korea, said "We are very pleased to be able to organize such a meaningful event to expand the base of ice merchants in Incheon Metropolitan City this year as well."We would like to express our deep gratitude to the Incheon Sports Council and the major sports industry for their support in the event, and we hope that Incheon will become a mecca for winter sports through this talent donation activity," he said.
