"I'm looking forward to living in Korea."

Unieska Batista (Kazakhstan, registered name Unies), an Asian quarter player of the Korea Expressway Corporation's high-pass volleyball team, arrived at Incheon International Airport on the morning of the 1st.

Unieska (31, 189cm) was nominated by the Korea Expressway Corporation as the third-ranked player in the '2024 KOVO Women's Asian Quarter Tryout' held on May 1.

"Uniesca, who played for the Turkiye League team 'Karsiyaka Medical Point' last season, is a player who can play both the outside heater and the apogit spiker, and has a strong offense using high heights," the Korea Expressway Corporation said.

Unieska, who has dual citizenship of Kazakhstan and Cuba, said he was close to Leo, Yosbani and Silva, foreign players from Cuba who played in the V League, playing volleyball as children.

"I'm looking forward to living in Korea because Cuban players who played in Korea told me a lot of good things about Korea and the V-League," Unieska said. In addition, when asked about this season's goal, he expressed his determination, saying, `Only winning the championship.'

Uniesca will immediately go down to Gimcheon to conduct a simple medical test and then join the team to work together.
