The 'Foreign Studies Education Support Project' is a project aimed at fostering professional human resources by obtaining a master's degree, a doctorate degree, or supporting short-term education and research courses at foreign universities. This year, one of the current and former disabled national athletes or leaders will be selected to apply. Any athlete with a disability who has a national team player or leader's experience and an admission permit or short-term course invitation letter from a foreign educational institution may apply. However, it is limited to those who have foreign language grades who can complete the training. If you are selected as a target, you can receive support for admission fees, tuition fees, and stay expenses required for a short-term course to a maximum of four years of degree programs within one year. Those who wish to apply may apply through the sports organizations for each event. The application period varies by event. For more information, visit the Sports Corporation website, the Korea Sports Council for the Disabled, and contact sports organizations for each event.
Meanwhile, the Sports Corporation has been supporting national representatives such as Lee Won-hee (in judo, Athens Olympic gold medal) and Sung Si-baek (in ice skating, Vancouver Olympic silver) through this project over the past decade to cultivate experts in various fields.
