Women's interest in professional baseball is at its highest ever. In particular, its popularity among female fans in their 20s and 30s is increasing rapidly.
KBO announced the results of a survey on the gender and age of fan reservations for the 2024 KBO All-Star Game on the 18th. This year's All-Star Game was held at SSG Landers Field in Incheon on the 6th.
The most noticeable point of this year's All-Star Game is the reservation rate of female fans in their 20s and 30s.
Women in their 20s accounted for the highest proportion of the total gender and age group at 39.6%. Women in their 30s also recorded 19.1%, with 58.7% of women in their 20s and 30s.
Compared to 35.4% of women in their 20s and 13% of women in their 30s in the All-Star Game last year, the number has increased to around 5% for both women in their 20s and 30s.

It was followed by men in their 20s with 14.2% and men in their 30s with 9.8%. The figure is similar to 12.9% of men in their 20s and 9.3% of men in their 30s last year.
In terms of the total gender ratio, 68.8% of women and 31.2% of men, and the proportion of female fans rose slightly compared to 65.7% of women and 34.3% of men in 2023.
By age, people in their 20s accounted for more than half of the total 53.8%, followed by 28.9% in their 30s, 10.8% in their 40s, and 3.5% in their teens. In 2023, the proportion increased significantly among those in their 20s to 30s, compared to 22.3% for those in their 30s, 14.5% for those in their 40s, and 10.3% for teenagers.
KBO will continue to make efforts to provide the best fan service based on fan data.
