A game between Samsung and LG at Jamsil Baseball Stadium on the 31st, and Samsung Lee Seung-hyun, with one out and second base, is regretful after giving up a two-run home run to LG Oh Ji-hwan in the bottom of the fifth inning. Jamsil = Reporter Heo Sang-wook wook@sportschosun.com /2024.07.31/

Samsung Lions Lee Seung-hyun failed to overcome LG Twins batters this time.

Lee Seung-hyun started the game against LG in Jamsil on the 31st and allowed seven hits (one home run), four walks, two strikeouts and six runs in four ⅓ innings, putting him on the verge of losing the game.

It was Lee Seung-hyun, who was perfect in the previous two games against LG.

In Daegu's game on April 24, he led the game to a 6-0 victory with six walks and eight strikeouts without a hit in five innings, and in Jamsil on June 27, he took the lead in a 2-1 victory with four hits, two walks and three strikeouts in six innings. Lee Seung-hyun led Samsung to its first victory in Jamsil, which had been weak with one draw and four losses at the Jamsil LG match this season.

He has two wins and zero ERA in two games. In 11 innings, he only had four hits and did not give up a run, naturally becoming an `LG killer.'

Conor Seabold won 7-1 with one run in eight innings the previous day, so if Lee Seung-hyun pitched well, he could also expect a winning streak.

But was it too much pressure. From the first inning, I gave LG a score and threw it hard.

After one out, Shin Min-jae allowed a left-handed hit, and the check ball fell back and gave up to second base. The first run was lost after giving up a walk to Austin No. 3 and getting a right-handed hit by Moon Bo-kyung No. 4. He then gave up the second run with a sacrifice fly to center field to Kim Hyun-soo with one out and runners on the first and third bases.

He threw a wild pitch during No. 6 Oh Ji-hwan's at-bat, making it two outs and second base, and 0-3 against a right-handed hit.

In the top of the second inning, Hong Chang-ki's walk and Shin Min-jae's right-handed hit drove him to the first and third bases after two outs, and Austin allowed a left-handed hit to give another run.

Lee Seung-hyun, who passed the third and fourth innings without allowing a run, failed to pass the fifth inning. Lee Seung-hyun, who gave up a walk to the first-runner Moon Bo-kyung, handled Kim Hyun-soo with a foul fly to the third baseman, but Oh Ji-hwan hit a two-run shot over the right fence. The 113-km curve came down the middle from the 1B second pitch, and Oh Ji-hwan rolled it up to make it a home run. The number of pitches reached 96, and he was eventually replaced by Choi Chae-heung.

Lee Seung-hyun, who sprayed 96 balls, evenly distributed up to 145km of fastballs (48), 138km of sliders (31), 119km of curves (10), and 128km of changeups (7), but it was not easy.

The ERA in the three games against LG increased from 0.00 to 3.52.
