Sunmoon University has succeeded in winning three consecutive Taebaek Mountain Range by quelling the new team's Dongmyeong University sensation. Choi Jae-young, head coach of Sunmoon University, swept his chest, saying, `It's really a competition that follows heaven's luck.' Sunmoon University won the final round of the 19th Taebaek Mountain Age 1st and 2nd graders' college football federation with Dongmyeong University held at Taebaek Stadium in Taebaek, Gangwon Province, on the 16th. Dongmyeong University goalkeeper Ha Joon-seo's own goal came out in the 45th minute of the second half when the score was 2-2. On the previous day, Hannam University became the first university to win three consecutive Baekdudaegan. Sunmoon University became the winner of its second and third consecutive victory by a day.

Sunmoon University sought to win the title for the third consecutive year based on its strong defense. Sunmoon University's one goal allowed to Gangseo University in the quarterfinals was all it lost in the tournament. However, his weakness was that he passed both the round of 16 and the quarterfinals after a penalty shootout and that he was defensive enough to score five goals in total.

Contrary to expectations, Sunmoon University raised the line closely and countered it. Sunmoon University maintained the lead, and Dongmyeong University counterattacked. But there was no decisive hit. Sunmoon University diligently turned the ball around and aimed for the gap in Dongmyeong University. The left and right sides were evenly utilized. The change of direction was also made quickly. I tried to cross the side steadily, but it didn't lead to a good shooting opportunity. Sunmoon University eventually allowed the first goal in the extra time of the first half.

Sunmoon University continued to knock on Dongmyeong University's goal in the second half. Park Sun-woo, who entered as a substitute, became the troubleshooter in the 12th minute of the second half. Park Sun-woo broke through with a solo dribble from the center circle to the box. He opened the goal of Dongmyeong University with a powerful left-footed shot with four defenses. In the 25th minute of the second half, Jung Sung-yeop scored a come-from-behind goal with a header. In the 29th minute of the second half, Dongmyeong University's Kim Kyung-min tied the game again with a left-footed mid-range shot, making the game more exciting.

The goddess of victory laughed at the gate. From Dongmyeong University's point of view, a somewhat futile winning goal came out. An ordinary cross from the side made it to Dongmyeong University's goal. Suddenly, goalkeeper Ha Jun-seo's hand slipped. The ball that brushed the glove hit the face and deflected into the goal.

Coach Choi Jae-young gave credit to the players. "I felt so sorry for the players. While going to France in May and June (participating in the U21 Toulon Cup), he failed to properly watch the first and second graders' sports. The preparation for the tournament was not thorough. But the players followed really well. Our players had a really good posture in the competition. Maybe because of that, the believers of Taebaeksan Mountain helped us a little bit," he said with a smile.

Coach Choi especially thanked the third-year seniors for their consideration of the lower-grade players. As it is a competition for first and second graders, we desperately need help from seniors. Moreover, they were the members who won the championship in 2022 and 2023. Choi said, `The first driving force behind us to win is the dedication of our seniors. I tried a lot to relieve the burden on my younger brothers. Even though he was a third grader from living in a dormitory to chores in the playground, he took the initiative like a lower grade. I hope freshmen can learn from this"I was pleased.

Dongmyeong University finished second, but this is a great achievement in itself. Dongmyeong University was founded on December 20 last year. He participated for the first time in the 60th Hansan Battle of Chungye University Football Federation held in Tongyeong in February this year. He came to the final again in his second competition. Lee Seung-joon, acting coach of Dongmyeong University, said, `All the experiences have become really valuable and great assets for all of us. Our goalkeeper made a mistake, but it is no exaggeration to say that he won the last tournament thanks to Lee. Based on the disappointment of the last two minutes today, I will prepare well and show you a more sensational Dongmyeong University football."
