Ulsan HD won the first game played by head coach Hong Myung-bo after his departure.

Ulsan won 1-0 against FC Seoul in the 23rd round of the '2024 Hana Bank K League 1' held at Munsu Stadium in Ulsan on the 13th.

Ulsan, which has not won the last three games, coincidentally won three points in the first game of Lee Kyung-soo's acting system.

Ulsan lost its head during the season when Hong Myung-bo was selected as the head coach of the A national team. Ulsan officially announced on the 11th that it mutually terminated the contract with head coach Hong Myung-bo. Ulsan has appointed its head coach Lee Kyung-soo as its acting coach.

Seoul suffered from Jesse Lingard's injury regardless of the game. Lingard lay on the ground in the 42nd minute, asking for his own replacement. Fortunately, Lingard finished the first half and was replaced by Ilyuchenko at the start of the second half.

Ulsan and Seoul moved actively, but failed to create a decisive opportunity. Even in the atmosphere of steadily penetrating into the box and threatening each other's goals, there was no clear shooting chance. Only close scenes were repeated.

Seoul lost its first-half possession to about 47-53, but its shooting was 8-4 ahead of Ulsan. Seoul also hit three effective shots, while Ulsan had two.

The flow of the second half was not much different. In the 36th minute of the second half, Seoul's Ilyuchenko connected the cutback from the left with a direct shot from the gate, but it rose high. Ulsan failed to relieve its frustration due to a series of inaccurate last passes in the offensive camp. The extra time was also given only three minutes.

The result was decided in an instant.

Ulsan Yoon Il-rok's mid-range shot was connected to Joo Min-kyu like a penetrating pass when the extra time in the second half was almost over. As the Seoul defense has not been able to raise the line, Joo Min-kyu suddenly took a chance to face the goalkeeper. Joo Min-kyu neatly scored a goal with a turning shot.
