LA Dodgers Shohei Ohtani lost face with the worst game of his life on his 30th birthday.

Ohtani had no hits and three strikeouts in five at-bats in a home game against the Milwaukee Brewers at Dodger Stadium on the 6th (Korea time).

In particular, Ohtani struck out three consecutive times in the third, fourth, and seventh innings against the Arizona Diamondbacks the previous day, then struck out one after another in the first three at-bats, and was humiliated by striking out six consecutive times. It is his record of consecutive strikeouts since his Major League debut.

Ohtani, who was born on July 5, 1994, had his 30th birthday local time. However, the bat control and Sun Ho-an fell to the worst level this season and failed to hit the ball properly.

Recently, the frequency of strikeouts has increased significantly. He has struck out 19 times in the last 10 games.

Ohtani had a batting average of 0.312 (106 hits in 340 at-bats), 27 homers, 64 RBIs, 70 runs, 17 steals, a 0.394 on-base percentage, a 0.626 slugging percentage, and an OPS 1.020. It fell to third place in the batting average category, which had maintained its No. 1 position in the National League.

Ohtani, who played as a designated hitter for the leadoff, struck out in his first at-bat in the bottom of the first inning when he was 0-0. Against Milwaukee starter Aaron Sibalé, he misled his bat to a 79.3-mile sweeper flying outside for the fifth pitch in a ball count of 2B2S. However, the Dodgers then scored the first run when Will Smith hit a solo home run to right-center.

Ohtani also struck out as a leadoff hitter in the third inning with a 1-0 lead. This time, he sent a cutter through the strike zone outside Sibal's sixth pitch of 88.9 miles from the full count. As in the first inning, Smith, the next batter, fired a solo shot over the left-center wall to lead the Dodgers 2-0.

However, the Dodgers came from behind when starting pitcher Tyler Glasnow, who threw well without allowing a run until the third inning, allowed five runs at once in the top of the fourth inning. With one out and runners on the first and second bases, Willy Adames hit a right-handed hit, and Reece Hoskins, with one out and the bases loaded, hit a grand slam in the middle, turning the tide to 5-2.

In the bottom of the fourth inning, with one out and a runner on first base, Miguel Vargas gradually followed Sibale's first pitch sinker by connecting a two-run shot to the left to make it 4-5.

Ohtani went to bat for the third time with two outs and a runner on the first base, but struck out again. In ball count 2B2S, he was tricked by a 92-mile-high sinker that flew to the height of Sibal's fifth pitch.

Ohtani stopped striking out consecutive times by hitting an outfield fly in his fourth at-bat after one out in the seventh inning when he was trailing 4-5. Opponent left-hander Brian Hudson's hit outside sweeper headed in front of left field. The Dodgers then brought the game to square one again when Smith hit a solo home run on the left side.

Ohtani only grounded out to the first base with one out and runners on first and second in the eighth inning when the score was 5-5. However, Smith walked and connected the chance with one out and the bases loaded. When Freddie Freeman hits a heavy hit, he brings two home players to take the lead again, 7-5Juss sealed the game with a double by Teoscar Hernandez.

Smith hit three home runs in a game for the first time in his life and became the leader of the 8-5 victory. The Dodgers, which lost two consecutive games, marked 54 wins and 35 losses and maintained their first place in the National League West.
