Wrist → Hamstring injury Oh Ji-hwan is finally back! Will I get LG in the crisis of sweep?

LG Twins shortstop Oh Ji-hwan has returned to the first division entry.

LG manager Yeom Kyung-yeop called up Oh Ji-hwan and Kim Sung-woo and canceled Kim Jin-soo and Heo Do-hwan ahead of the KIA Tigers match at Jamsil Stadium on the 11th.

Oh Ji-hwan was eliminated from the first team on May 30 due to a wrist injury. Initially, he was expected to return after taking a break for about 10 days, but there was a bad news of injuring his hamstring (back muscle of his thigh) during the readjustment of the Futures (second division). In the end, he had no choice but to skip the remaining schedule of the first half.

Oh Ji-hwan did not have a good performance this season with a batting average of 238 (40 hits in 168 at-bats), two homers and 16 RBIs, and an OPS (on-base plus slugging) of 0.731. The reason is that he rarely raised his pace as he played the season with minor injuries. While the return has been delayed due to injuries, attention is focusing on whether he will catch a rebound clue in the second half of the year.

Coach Yeom set up the starting lineup with Hong Chang-ki (right wing), Moon Sung-joo (designated hitter), Austin Dean (first baseman), Moon Bo-kyung (third baseman), Park Dong-won (captor), Oh Ji-hwan (striker), Koo Bon-hyuk (second baseman), Song Chan-ui (left wing) and Park Hae-min (middle fielder). Kim Hyun-soo, who has recently shown poor batting performance, is out of the lineup. When asked why Kim Hyun-soo was excluded, Yeom answered briefly, `I took it out because I didn't like it.'
