Oh Ye-jin (IBK Industrial Bank) and Kim Ye-ji (Imsil County Office) collaborated for gold and silver medals in the women's 10M air pistol shooting at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Oh Ye-jin won the gold medal on the 28th (Korea time) by shooting 243.2 points in the final round of the competition at Chatoru Shooting Range in France. Kim Ye-ji brought a valuable silver medal with 241.3 points.
It is the first time in 12 years that the Korean shooting team has won gold and silver medals in the pistol event since Jin Jong-oh (gold) and Choi Young-rae (silver) competed in the 50-meter pistol event at the 2012 London Games. This is the first time that the women's national team has won a gold medal in the 10-meter air pistol.
In the 10-meter air pistol final, eight players shoot 10 shots first, and then two shots are fired, and the lowest-scoring player is eliminated one by one. The perfect score per shot is 10.9.

There was also a crisis. It came down from the first 10-point range with 9.9 points on the fifth shot, and 8.7 points on the sixth shot, showing a slight shaking of the zero. While Oh Ye-jin slowed down for a while, the two players competed fiercely for the lead as Kim Ye-ji came up. Up to 10 shots, Oh Ye-jin ranked first with 101.7 points, and Kim Ye-ji ranked second with 101.5 points.

A miracle happened in the third place match. While Kim Ye-ji only scored 9.4 points on the first shot in the third-place decision shooting, Manu Baker of India shot 10.1 points, allowing a turnaround. Baquer scored 10.3 points until the second shot, but Kim Ye-ji shot gold with Oh Ye-jin as she shot 10.5 points to keep second place by 0.1 points.

Thanks to Oh Ye-jin and Kim Ye-ji's performance, the South Korean team added two medals, making the gold two tied one.
