The summer transfer of Victor Osimhen (Napoli) is on the verge of collapse due to excessive greed.
Sky Sports Italy reported on the 26th (Korea time) 'Saudi Arabian Super League Al-Ahli offered 70 million euros for Osimhen's transfer, and Napoli can consider this, but Osimhen is waiting for offers from big European clubs such as Paris Saint-Germain, Arsenal, and Chelsea'
Osimen signed a new contract in December last year that included a 130 million euro (about 190 billion won) buyout in the transfer market this summer, but there is no offer close to this amount, and the clock in the transfer market is running fast. Al Ahli's 70 million euros, about half of the buyout, is the first firm offer to come in. It is far short of a buyout, but it is a large enough amount for Napoli to accept. Napoli are already close to signing an alternate striker Romelu Lukaku.
The problem is that Osimhen doesn't want to go to the Saudi professional league. As he values playing in the European Champions League, he intends to wait until the end for offers from Paris Saint-Germain, Arsenal, and Chelsea.
But this is also not easy. On the same day, the British Daily Mail reported that the transfer to Chelsea was difficult due to Osimen's crazy demand for weekly wages. A buyout worth 190 billion won is also a problem, but Osimen is also demanding 500,000 pounds (about 870 million won) per week. It offered an amount exceeding 400,000 pounds (about 700 million won) per week of Kevin De Bruyne, Manchester City's highest salary at this point in the English Premier League (EPL). With Son Heung-min's weekly salary of 190,000 pounds (about 330 million won), the majority of the eyes are that it is an excessive demand. In light of the Saudi professional league's buyout, in reality, transfer fees are likely to be cut by half depending on negotiations between clubs, but in this case, Osimhen's weekly salary is inevitably an obstacle. Chelsea is also reportedly looking at Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Federico Chiesa as alternative resources for Osimen.
