Ohtani played two hits, one walk, and three steals in five at-bats in an away game against the Oakland Athletics at the Oakland Coliseum on the 4th (Korea time).
Ohtani, who had marked 33 home runs and 28 steals until the previous day, added three stolen bases to surpass 30 steals this season and kissed 30 (homer)-20 (stealing) for the first time in his life. It is the first time in 13 years that a Dodgers player has recorded 30 home runs and 30 steals since Matt Kemp in 2011.
Ohtani, who played as a designated hitter for leadoff, walked in his first at-bat in the top of the first inning and stole second base at No. 2 Teoscar Hernandez's at-bat to create a scoring position with his 29th stolen base of the season. However, he failed to reach home due to a failed follow-up hit.
He struck out swinging in his second at-bat with one out and one out in the third inning when he was 0-0. At the ball count of 1B2S, he misled the bat to the slider on the body of opposing starter Mitch Spence.
In the fifth inning with a 2-0 lead, he got on base with a shortstop infield hit after two outs, but after Teoscar's heavy hit to second base, Gavin Lux was out with a fly ball to right field, and the inning ended.

With this, Ohtani recorded a batting average of 0.309 (131 hits in 424 at-bats), 33 home runs, 79 RBIs, 85 runs, 63 walks, 31 steals, a on-base percentage of 0.400, a slugging percentage of 0.627 and an OPS of 1.027.
The Dodgers, which won 10-0, broke the chain of three consecutive losses, marked 64 wins and 47 losses, and firmly maintained their lead in the National League West.
