LA Dodgers Shohei Ohtani took a step closer to 40-40, succeeding in multi-hits and stealing.

Ohtani marked two hits and one stolen base in five at-bats against the Seattle Mariners at Dodger Stadium on the 21st (Korea time). The Dodgers won the game 6-3.

Ohtani, who started as a designated hitter for the leadoff, struck out a foul tip by opposing right-hander Bryce Miller in his first at-bat in the bottom of the first inning, trailing 0-2. In ball count 2B2S, he turned his bat on the splitter outside 85.5 miles on the sixth pitch, but he brushed the ball and became a foul tip.

However, he hit a delightful triple in his second at-bat. After one out in the third inning, trailing 0-3, Ohtani hit Miller's 5th pitch 87.1 miles low slider, rolling through right-center to the fence, and strode to third base. It was a line drive ball with a firing angle of 13 degrees and a batting speed of 109.8 miles.

Ohtani hit a triple for the sixth time this season, nine days after the game against the Pittsburgh Pirates on the 12th. However, Mookie Betts hit a short fly ball to center field, and Ohtani was tied up at third base, and Teoscar Hernandez stepped down on a fly to center field after Freddie Freeman's walk.

In the fourth inning, when the team was trailing 2-3, he grounded out to a pitcher with two outs and a runner on the first base. Miller's 91.3 mile cutter hit a ground ball into the glove that pitcher Miller inadvertently put out.

Ohtani pulled in pitcher right-hander Andres Muñoz's 86.5-mile-low slider, which changed from a one-out, second-base chance in the seventh inning, trailing 2-3, but was out on a line drive to first base. However, the Dodgers succeeded in a 3-3 tie by bringing in second baseman Tommy Edman with Betts hitting a double to the left.

Ohtani, who entered the fifth batter's box without a runner after two outs in the bottom of the eighth inning when he succeeded in turning the tables 6-3, pulled right-hander Austin Boss's low cutter of 89.8 miles on the sixth pitch and connected it with a hit that hit the fence beyond right field. He flew at a speed of 115.5 miles, so he couldn't run to second base, making it a single stroke. It is the first time in 15 days that Ohtani has made a multi-hit since the game against the Philadelphia Phillies on the 6th.

Ohtani then managed to steal second base at the batter's box and stole his 38th base of the season. Ohtani, who marked 39 home runs and 38 steals, puts the flag on the long-awaited 40-40 high ground if he adds one home run and two stolen bases. He hit a season batting average of 0.291 and an OPS of 0.991.

Dodgers starter Walker Buehler was unable to escape the slump, allowing three runs in four innings during the turmoil of giving up seven hits and three walks. Seattle starter Miller was also anxious with five hits, two walks and two runs in four innings.

Seattle took the lead in the top of the first inning with two outs and a right-handed hit by Jorge Polanco. In the top of the third inning, Polanco hit a timely double with one out and runners on the first and second bases, widening the gap to 3-0.

However, in the bottom of the fourth inning, the Dodgers followed Gavin Lux's solo home run to the middle wall and Max Muncy's superior solo home run, 2-3 and Betts' timely double in the seventh inning brought the game to square one.

Then, in the bottom of the eighth inning with two outs and runners on the first and second bases, pinch hitter Jason Heyward pulled a 99.2-mile fastball flying toward Munoz's body and connected it with a three-run home run over the right fence with a line drive, turning the tide 6-3.

The Dodgers, which won three consecutive games, marked 75 wins and 52 losses and maintained a three-game win over the San Diego Padres, who are second in the NL West. It also regained the top NL winning percentage, beating the Philadelphia Phillies (53-52), who are ranked first in the East Division.
