Kiwoom Heroes caught the Doosan Bears, who swept the No. 1 KIA Tigers, and chased the 9th-ranked Lotte Giants by half a game.

Kiwoom allowed a tie in the bottom of the sixth inning after leading 4-0 in an away game against Doosan held at Jamsil Stadium on the 2nd, but Kim Hye-sung's two-run final hit in the top of the 10th inning gave it a sweaty 6-4 victory.

Kiwoom, which won two consecutive games, recorded 44 wins and 57 losses, narrowing the gap with ninth-ranked Lotte (42 wins, 3 draws and 54 losses), which took a break due to the cancellation of the heat wave. Doosan succeeded in targeting the opponent's ace, Furado, and succeeded in leading the game in a close race, but missed a chance of one out and third base in the bottom of the ninth inning, widening the gap with third-place Samsung, which won the SSG on the day to 1.5 games.

Doosan's starting lineup consisted of Jung Soo-bin (center fielder), Huh Kyung-min (third baseman), Jarrod (right fielder), Yang Seok-hwan (first baseman), Kim Jae-hwan (designated hitter), Kang Seung-ho (second baseman), Kim Ki-yeon (fosu), Jeon Min-jae (striker) and Cho Soo-haeng (left fielder).

Kiwoom hired as many as eight left-handed hitters except Kim Jae-hyun as Lee Joo-hyung (right wing), Kim Hye-sung (second baseman), Song Sung-moon (third baseman), Choi Joo-hwan (first baseman), Byun Sang-ho (designated hitter), Lee Yong-kyu (left wing), Kim Tae-jin (striker), Kim Jae-hyun (poster), and Lim Byung-wook (middle fielder).

Doosan had an early chance to score first, but was blocked by Kiwoom ace Furado.

In the bottom of the first inning, lead Jung Soo-bin started with a good chance of second base with no outs with a double to the right, but Heo Kyung-min struck out, Jared struck out third baseman foul fly, and Yang Suk-hwan struck out. In the bottom of the second inning, Kang Seung-ho and Kim Ki-yeon's consecutive hits created a scoring chance with one out and runners on first and second bases, but Jeon Min-jae struck out and Cho Soo-haeng grounded out in front of the first base.

Kiwoom scored the first point with a big one. Kiwoom, which missed the opportunity to get on the second and third bases with two outs in the top of the second inning, led 2-0 with Lee Ju-hyung hitting a preemptive two-run shot over the right fence after the lead Lim Byung-wook hit a single in the top of the third inning. In 2B2S, he hit a low splitter of 125km on the fifth pitch and connected it to a home run. 10th home run of the season. It is Lee Ju-hyung's first double-digit home run since his debut, which he recorded six last year.

While Doosan was blocked by Furado, Kiwoom tried to score an additional point, but it was not easy. In the top of the fifth inning, Kim Hye-sung's double to left-center hit after one out, creating a chance, but the follow-up hit did not break out.

Kiwoom finally scored an additional point in the top of the sixth inning. Leading Lee Yong-kyu hit a double on the right-wing line, and Kim Tae-jin immediately hit a hit to right-center to get the much-awaited one point.

Doosan lowered starter Choi Won-joon and put in Choi Seung-yong. Kiwoom made Kim Jae-hyun's sacrifice bunt with one out and second base, and added one point with pinch hitter Ko Young-woo's heavy hit to run to 4-0. Considering Furado's stable pitching, it seemed to be a score difference that could be considered victory.

It wasn't.

Doosan tied the game at once in the bottom of the sixth inning. The start was a home run. Yang Seok-hwan hit a thunderous two-run shot to the left following the leadoff Jared's right-handed hit. The second curve came in high in the 1S, and Yang Seok-hwan hit it with all his might as if he had been waiting. At the moment of being hit, Furado hit it so well that he felt it was a home run. 2-4.

Immediately, Kim Jae-hwan hit a right-handed hit, continuing the flow of Doosan. Kang Seung-ho struck out and Kim Ki-yeon was caught on a ground ball in front of the pitcher, with two outs and runners on second base. I wondered if it would end like this, but the concentration of the lower lineup was alive.

Jeon Min-jae pulled Furado's first pitch and hit a left-handed hit to bring Kim Jae-hwan home. And Cho Soo-haeng also hit the first pitch deep into right-center for an RBI tie triple. 4-4. Furado got two hits with two balls and gave up a tie. Jung Soo-bin tried to come from behind, but he was out with a ground ball in front of the first base.

Kiwoom starter Furado recorded nine hits (one home run), one walk, seven strikeouts, and four runs in six innings, while Choi Won-joon failed to record a win or loss by recording seven hits (one home run), three walks, four strikeouts, and four runs in five innings.

Now it's a bullpen fight.

In the top of the eighth inning, Kiwoom created an opportunity with a surprise bunt hit by the lead Lee Yong-kyu. Kim Tae-jin threw a sacrifice bunt, but he rolled in front of the running third baseman, and third baseman Lee Yoo-chan immediately threw it to second base, and the leading runner was out.

However, Kim Jae-hyun hit an infield hit that deflected off the changed pitcher Hong Gun-hee, continuing the chance to first and second bases again. Park Soo-jong's hit hit was caught by the running left fielder, and two outs. And Lee Joo-hyung struck out Lee Byung-hun, a changed left-handed pitcher.

Doosan made a chance to end the game against Kiwoom's fourth pitcher Kim Sun-ki in the bottom of the ninth inning with the leadoff Cho hitting a left-handed hit. Jung Soo-bin tried to make a sacrifice bunt, but he couldn't reach it, and it became two strikes, but a wild pitch came out, and Cho advanced to second base for free, making it second base with no outs. And when Jung Soo-bin's fly to center field, Cho advanced to third base, one out and third base. When Yang Eui-ji came out as a pinch hitter, four pitches came out automatically. One out, one on the first and third bases.

He expected Jared, but he stepped down with a fly to the third baseman, and Yang Seok-hwan's at-bat. The ball hit too high after the full count match. It became a fly to center field and the game flowed to extra time.

Chance after the crisis. Kiwoom's lead Lee Yong-kyu got on base with a left-handed hit in the top of the 10th inning. But Kim Tae-jin buntted, but this time, the pitcher's face. Lee Yong-kyu was also out at second base. However, Kim Jae-hyun picked up a straight walk, and the chance came with one out and runners on first and second bases. Park Su-jong's at-bat. Only the first baseman is out at second base due to a slow grounder that missed the full count.

In Lee Joo-hyung's at-bat with two outs and runners on the first and third bases, Doosan posted left-handed Lee Kyo-hoon. However, the first pitch hit the body with the bases loaded. 'Preliminary major leaguer' Kim Hye-sung hit a clean two-run heavy hit in 1B2S to bring back the lead.

At the end of the 10th inning, Joo Seung-woo came up and blocked the game without losing a point. He got his ninth save.

For Doosan, it was regrettable that it missed a golden opportunity in the bottom of the ninth inning.
