"It's a good opportunity to lead the development of young players."

The Korean Air Jumbos Volleyball Team will start off-season training in Japan following the 2023-2024 season. The partners of the training camp were Osaka Bluteon (former Panasonic Panthers) and the Tokyo Great Bears team.

The Blue Teon is the runner-up team in the Japanese V League last season and has many national players. Coach Laurent Tilly, who led the French national team to the championship at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, is at the helm.

Alex, who played for Woori Card from the 2021-2022 season, is playing for the Great Bears, and Casper Buorinen, who played as a coach for Korean Air from the 2022-2023 season, is in charge of the team.

Korean Air was joined by both Asian quarter player Arev and foreign player Yosvani.

Unlike last season's off-season training situation, key players, including Han Jeong-seok, who was called up for the national team, also joined. As a result, this Japanese schedule is more tightly prepared than ever.

Starting with ball training for adaptation to the stadium from the afternoon of the day when he moved from Korea to Japan, he will play practice games on the 2nd and 3rd days with the Osaka Blue Teon, and on the 4th day, he will travel to Tokyo by Shinkansen train and then play two games with the Great Bears every day.

Korean Air coach Tommy Tilikainen said, `I think this training session is a good opportunity to build a solid team like last year by combining new foreign and existing players, but to lead the development of young players like future players, Jeong Han-yong and Lee Jun," he said.

The team's captain Han said, "I think we can feel the flow of world volleyball through a practice match with a number of professional teams of Japanese volleyball that won the runner-up prize in the VNL. As our team has many excellent strikers, I think it is an opportunity to test various tactics to strengthen our power and make up for the shortcomings."," he said.
