"We have to lose consecutive games."

One of the concerns of SSG Landers coach Lee Sung-yong is Drew Anderson's stamina. Anderson, who came from the U.S. as a middle pitcher, came to SSG and gradually increased his innings.

Anderson, who pitched three innings with 46 against Gwangju KIA on May 10, his first appearance, threw 58 against Gocheok Kiwoom a week later on the 17th, and another week later, he threw 84 against Hanwha in Incheon and raised it to a body capable of throwing about 100 with 97 against Incheon LG on the 30th. Anderson, who has continued his good pitching by throwing around 100 balls since then, is disappointed in terms of physical strength. As he is preparing as an intermediate pitcher in the U.S. this year, it is not easy to throw longer innings as a starter. And there is also a physical burden to take the mound on the fifth day after taking the mound on Tuesday. He took a four-day rest only once this season, but the result was not good.

Anderson became the winning pitcher with five hits (two home runs) with six strikeouts and two runs in six innings against Daegu Samsung on June 18, but he recorded four hits (two home runs) with eight strikeouts and four runs in four ⅔ innings against Incheon NC on the 23rd.

Anderson will start against the LG Twins in Jamsil on the 20th. SSG lost to Hanwha in three consecutive weekend games, came to Jamsil, and the ace took the mound, so they have to cut the losing streak. Anderson will take the mound for the first time in a week since his victory over Changwon NC on the 13th. As scheduled, he has to take the mound against KT in Incheon on the 25th after taking a four-day break after taking the mound.

"The more the season goes on, the more important we feel the importance of starting," SSG manager Lee Soo-yong said. "Because the rest of the game is important, we plan to prepare bullpen pitchers early when the 3rd, 4th, and 5th starters, not Anderson and Allias throw."

To do that, Anderson and Elias have to play a lot of innings.

However, if Anderson wants to throw on Sunday, he also needs to adjust the number of pitches that day. Manager Lee said "Today's game is important. I think we need to judge the game situation well. That way, I can throw it on Sunday, tooThe priority is to break the losing streak. If I think it's a winnable game, Sunday is not the important thing, and I'll try to win for now."

SSG consisted of Jihoon Choi (middle fielder), Choo Shin-soo (designated hitter), Choi Jung (third baseman), Eredia (left fielder), Han Yu-sum (right fielder), Park Sung-han (striker), Lee Ji-young (catcher), Jung Joon-jae (second baseman), and Oh Tae-gon (first baseman).
