Doosan Bears swept all three consecutive games during the week.

Doosan won 1-0 in an away game against the KIA Tigers at Kia Champions Field in Gwangju on the 1st. Doosan won three consecutive games and recorded 54 wins, two draws and 50 losses. KIA has lost three games in a row. It was his 41st loss of the season (two draws and 60 wins).

On the previous day, Doosan devastated KIA's mound. He recorded 28 hits, including four homers, and scored 30 points to win 30-6. 30 points is the most in KBO league history. In addition, it was the game with the largest score difference of 24 points.

Doosan's Jung Soo-bin (center fielder), Huh Kyung-min (third baseman), Jarrod Young (right fielder), Yang Seok-hwan (first baseman), Kim Jae-hwan (designated hitter), Kang Seung-ho (second baseman), Kim Ki-yeon (second baseman), Kim Jae-ho (striker), and Cho Soo-haeng (left fielder) started the game.

KIA composed the starting lineup in the order of Choi Won-jun (right wing), Hong Jong-pyo (second baseman), Kim Do-young (third baseman), Socrates Brito (left wing), Na Sung-beom (designated hitter), Byun Woo-hyuk (first baseman), Park Chan-ho (striker), Kim Tae-gun (poster), and Park Jung-woo (middle fielder).

The firepower, which had been hot the day before, cooled cold. The starting pitcher's good pitching shone. Doosan starter Jordan Balazovic played his role as a starting pitcher by allowing no runs in six ⅔. Balazovic won his first KBO League victory.

KIA starter James Nail pitched six innings with one run (non-earned).

The silence of zero that lasted until the fifth inning. Doosan scored in the top of the sixth inning. KIA's mistake made Doosan laugh. In the top of the sixth inning, Doosan's Kim Jae-hwan hit after one out, followed by Kang Seung-ho's ground ball in front of the pitcher. Nail threw the ball to second base in a hurry, but an error ensued and fell back. He answered the center fielder's ball and threw it to third base, but it was inaccurate and runner Kim Jae-hwan came home.

The bottom of the eighth inning was painful for KIA. Leadoff batters Lee Chang-jin and Choi Won-joon drew a walk against Doosan's Lee Byung-hun. Doosan posted Hong Gun-hee, and Hong Jong-pyo's sacrifice bunt became a catcher foul fly. Doosan had a strong defense to put closer Kim Taek-yeon in.

Kim Taek-yeon overcame the crisis by striking out Kim Do-young and Socrates in turn.

In the end, the game was decided by one point. Since Doosan scored in the top of the sixth inning, neither team has scored. KIA had a chance at the bottom of the ninth inning with two outs and runners on the first and second bases, but failed to turn it over in the end.

Following Balazovic, Doosan's Lee Byung-hun (⅓ innings scoreless), Hong Gun-hee (⅓ innings scoreless), and Kim Taek-yeon (one ⅔ inning scoreless) took the mound in turn.

After the nail, Lee Joon-young (⅓ innings scoreless), Jang Hyun-sik (one inning scoreless), Lim Ki-young (⅓ innings scoreless), Kwak Do-gyu (⅓ innings scoreless), and Jeon Sang-hyun (one inning scoreless) took the mound.

Doosan will play three consecutive weekend games against the Kiwoom Heroes at its home, Jamsil, starting on the 2nd. KIA will go on an away trip to Daejeon and enter a three-game series with the Hanwha Eagles.
