Barbara Javic of Croatia, who was selected as the No. 1 foreign player in the new season by the AI Peppers Volleyball Team of Pepper Savings Bank, has arrived in Korea. Pepper Savings Bank said on the 1st that `Zavic entered the country through Incheon International Airport on July 28 to conduct the team's pre-medical test.'
Pepper Savings Bank hired Apogit Spiker Zavic by exercising the No. 1 overall nomination right at the KOVO Women's Foreign Player Tryout held on May 9. After graduating from the University of Arkansas in NCAA Division I in the U.S., Javic, who played in various leagues including Belgium, Italy, Germany, Hungary and Switzerland, participated in the VNL of Nations as Croatia's national team in 2023.
"It's an honor to be with Pepper Savings Bank for the new season," Zavic said in an interview after entering the country. "I'll try to contribute to the team through a lot of communication with the coaching staff and players."
