Tottenham announced the starting list ahead of the first round of the English Premier League (EPL) match against Leicester City in the 2024-2025 season at King Power Stadium in Leicester, England on the 20th (Korea time).
Tottenham will play in a 4-3-3 formation. Son Heung-min, Dominic Solanke and Brennan Johnson will be in the front three-top. James Maddison, Rodrigo Bentancur and Papesar will work together in the midfield. The Four Bag consists of Destiny Udogi, Mickey Panderpen, Christian Romero and Pedro Porro. The goal is guarded by Guglielmo Vicario.
Leicester face off in a 4-3-3 formation. Abdul Fattau, Jamie Vardy and Bobby Reid lead the attack. Parkundo Buonanote, Harry Winks and Wilfred Ndidi will play in the midfield. The defense is guarded by James Justin, Bout Pas, Yannick Vestergord and Viktor Christiansen. The goalkeeper's gloves are worn by Mars Hermansen.

As for Son Heung-min, he had a good opportunity to hit his opening celebration by meeting Leicester as his first match in the league. Son Heung-min scored nine goals, four assists, and 13 offensive points against Leicester on the EPL stage. Except for Southampton (10 goals and 5 assists), Son Heung-min scored the most offensive points.
I also have good memories. Son Heung-min played as a substitute in the 2022-2023 season, when he suffered from injuries and sluggishness, and showed a tremendous performance against Leicester with a hat trick. In his last three showdowns with Leicester, Son Heung-min has scored as many as five goals.
Tottenham also drew attention from the opening game to a new offensive duo. Tottenham announced the recruitment of Solanke on the 10th. Solanke joined Tottenham with a record transfer fee of 65 million pounds (about 113 billion won). As the performance of the newly formed 'Sonke Duo' is an important factor that will determine Tottenham's performance this season, more attention will be paid to the teamwork and performance of the two players against Leicester.
