Boston Red Sox outfielder Jaren Duran has been suspended for two games.

MLB.COM, the official website of the U.S. Major League Baseball, quoted the Boston club's statement on the 13th (Korea time) saying that `Duran has been suspended for two games.'

Duran entered the batter's box at first and third bases with no outs in the bottom of the sixth inning when his team was trailing 0-10 against the Houston Astros at Fanway Park in his home stadium on the 12th. He swung the bat on a 94-mile fastball that came in the high course at 1B1S, but swung and missed.

As Duran swings and misses to the unfavorable count of 1B2S, behind the home play, "Tennis Racket! Tennis racket! You need a tennis racket! There was a cry of ." Duran, staring briefly at the side where the cry was heard, replied "Shut up, XXXX" with his head down. It was slang for insulting homosexuals. The problem is that this remark was contained in the TV broadcast on that day.

Duran walked and got on base, and Boston got two runs with no outs but lost 2-10.

Duran apologized for his inappropriate remarks on his personal SNS after the game as his remarks became controversial. However, Boston decided it couldn't let it go, so Duran was suspended for two games and asked to donate two games' salary to a gay organization.

Duran has a batting average of 291, 14 homers and 58 RBIs this season. He was also named the first All-Star of this season. However, he couldn't hold back his anger for a moment and tarnished his reputation.
