'I hope you will visit Korea next year' Hyundai Engineering & Construction Co., Ltd., after seven years of off-season training in Japan
Hyundai Engineering & Construction's volleyball team has successfully completed its first off-season training in Japan in seven years.

Hyundai Engineering & Construction's volleyball team lost a set score of 1-2 (23-25, 17-25, 25-19) in a practice match against the Denso club at the Denso Gymnasium in Nishiio, Japan, on the 30th. Hyundai Engineering & Construction, which suffered a disappointing upset loss (set score 1-3) in its first practice game on the 28th, also knelt down in its second warm-up match with Denso. Moma led the attack by scoring 13 points, the most by both teams, but the rest of the players did not show a 100% increase in their performance. Hyundai Engineering & Construction, which had a 2-2 set-score draw with Toyota in a practice match yesterday (29th), had one draw and two losses in three warm-up matches in Japan's off-season training.

After the final schedule, the Hyundai E&C team gathered with the Denso team to take commemorative photos and share friendship. Denso players were sad to say goodbye by delivering the prepared gifts (green tea, chocolate) to Hyundai E&C players.

The Hyundai Engineering & Construction team is fully prepared for its first off-season training in Japan in seven years. As Nishi City, where Denso Gymnasium is located, is small with a population of 150,000 people, there was no proper hotel to accommodate the team. The club quickly recruited a fairly large hotel in Okazaki City, a city of 400,000 people, 30 minutes away, to prepare the players to rest comfortably.

As it is a common Japanese meal, the team had a delicious meal with a variety of menus every meal, but it was not the end. Hyundai E&C airlifted various side dishes made by the chef of the club's restaurant to Japan. After a difficult morning training session, the players had a delicious lunch with lunch boxes and side dishes such as home-cooked meals.

He also did not forget the consideration for his training partner Denso, whom he met again after seven years. The club gave Denso players 'Beauty Mask Pack' ahead of their first practice game on the 28th, sparking a heated response. On top of that, he delivered 'Korean seaweed', which is popular in Japan, and various gifts to the Denso team's secretariat. An official from the Denso club said, `I was surprised that Hyundai Engineering & Construction prepared a lot of gifts.' `Recently, there has been a great interest in Korean cosmetics and skin care in Japan, and the players were really happy to receive the mask pack as a gift."

Coach Kang Sung-hyung, who finished all the schedules, said "I think I have helped variously through the off-season training in Japan. In particular, there were difficulties in the beginning while playing against a team that plays in a different pattern than a domestic professional team, but as the game continued, it improved in various areas such as defense and counterattack." After playing three games, I felt that volleyball was a team play, even though I didn't win, and that I needed more passion than my opponent on the court. I emphasized that to the players," he added.

Coach Kang also did not forget his gratitude to the Denso club. He was able to train well because he cooperated in making the gym and various facilities available in Denso. Both clubs will have to discuss it, but I hope Denso will visit Korea next year. We will also prepare a lot for Denso."
