Another first scene in KBO league history came out with the former pitcher as a batter and the batter as a fielder.

Kia Champions Field in Gwangju on the 31st of last month. The ballpark was filled with shouts at the start of the ninth inning.

The day KIA was losing 6-30. The spectators applauded and cheered when they saw the pitcher's name.

Park Jung-woo (26) took the mound in the top of the ninth inning. He joined KIA in the second round of the rookie draft in 2017 (ranked 64th overall) and played only as an outfielder.

As the score gap widened, the idea of reducing pitcher consumption. In addition, since there were already eight pitchers in front of them, there were no players to go out except for 'Must-win-jo'.

A fielder's pitching appearance in a desperate situation. The crowd cheered for each ball.

This is the first 30-point game in KBO League history. As KIA raised its white flag, Doosan hitters did not deal with it 100% either. Kim Jae-hwan grounded out to second base and Kang Seung-ho struck out.

When there's one out count left. The crowd cheered once again at the batter's box. Pitcher Kwon Hwi, who came up in the bottom of the eighth inning, took the batter's box.

Kwon Hwi was preparing for the bottom of the ninth inning after striking out Kim Do-young in the bottom of the eighth inning with two outs.

It was a strange situation where the fielder took the batter's box and the pitcher took the batter's box. After watching two first pitches, Kwon swung and missed three pitches before striking out.

Park Jung-woo recorded two strikeouts and no runs in one inning in his KBO League pitcher debut, and Kwon Hwi made a hitless one at-bats.

Kwon Hwi's 'Swallow(?)' took place immediately. Park Jung-woo was the first batter at the top of the ninth inning. His fastball of 148 kilometers turned the bat into a fly ball to center field. Kwon Hwi then walked Lee Chang-jin and struck out Kim Sun-bin and caught Seo Geon-chang with a fly ball to shortstop to end the game.

Prior to the game, there were a total of three pitcher-batter confrontations in the KBO League, including the game. It was all 'Beers'. A match between the OB Bears (now Doosan) and the Samsung Lions at Daegu Civic Stadium on April 26, 1988. In the top of the 10th inning, OB pitcher Yoon Seok-hwan took the batter's box, and Samsung pitcher Kwon Young-ho took the mound and struck out.

In the bottom of the 10th inning, Kwon Young-ho was the pitcher, and Yoon Seok-hwan was the batter. The result was a ground ball.

The second was a match between the Haitai Tigers (currently KIA) and the OB Bears at Jamsil Stadium in Seoul on June 11, 1998. At the top of the 10th inning, Haitai pitcher Lim Chang-yong took the batter's box, and OB Jin Pil-joong took the mound as a pitcher. Jin Pil-joong struck out Lim Chang-yong.

Jin Pil-joong took the batter's box in the bottom of the 10th inning, and Lim Chang-yong came out as a pitcher and struck out and succeeded in avenging.

As the game gets longer, the top of the 13th inning of extra time. Again, the match between batter Lim Chang-yong and pitcher Jin Pil-joong took place. The result is a strikeout on a fly ball.

Sixteen years later, the Tigers and Bears faced off again in the same game between pitchers and hitters. However, this is the first time a fielder and a pitcher have faced off each other in all previous games. Coincidentally, Park Jung-woo and Kwon Hwi are two years seniors and juniors.

Kwon Hwi, who took the batter's box on this day, said, "(Park Jung-woo) is two years his senior in high school, and meeting him like this in the professional league made me feel new," adding, "(Park Jung-woo) was a senior who was born with the ability to throw a ball"I looked back

He continued "It was his first time at bat since junior high school. Playing as a batter is also part of baseball, so I think I played a variety of baseball after a long time. I didn't have much desire to get a hit. However, it was not easy because I wanted to do my best, but I couldn't hit. However, I think what I saw from the batter's point of view also helped."
