Hanwha Eagles finished three consecutive away games with a winning series.

Hanwha won the away game against the Samsung Lions 6-4 at Samsung Lions Park in Daegu on the 8th. Hanwha avenged its defeat the previous day and won its 47th game (two draws and 55 losses) of the season. Samsung lost 50 games (57 wins and 2 draws) this season.

On this day, Hanwha made the starting lineup in the order of Jonathan Ferraza (designated hitter), Kim In-hwan (left fielder), Kim Tae-yeon (right fielder), Noh Si-hwan (third baseman), Chae Eun-sung (first baseman), Ahn Chi-hong (second baseman), Hwang Young-mook (striker), Choi Jae-hoon (fosu), and Jang Jin-hyuk (middle fielder).



For Samsung, Kim Ji-chan (center fielder), Yoon Jung-bin (right wing), Koo Ja-wook (designated hitter), Kang Min-ho (poser), Kim Young-woong (third baseman), Lee Sung-kyu (first baseman), Lee Jae-hyun (striker), Ryu Ji-hyuk (second baseman), and Kim Hyun-joon (left wing) started the game.

Hanwha scored the first run in the top of the first inning. Peraza and Kim In-hwan hit consecutive hits, and Kim Tae-yeon's sacrifice bunt gave him a chance to get on the second and third bases with one out. After that, Noh Si-hwan's sacrifice fly and Chae Eun-sung's timely hit made it 2-0.



Samsung immediately put the game to square one. Kim Ji-chan drew a walk, and Yoon Jung-bin went out with a hit ball. Kim Young-woong's two-run timely hit later tied the game 2-2.

Hanwha scored again in the top of the fourth inning. Noh Si-hwan hit a double, followed by Chae Eun-sung's timely double.



In the bottom of the fifth inning, Samsung caught the tail again. Yoon Jung-bin's grounder made a pitcher's catch error, and Lee Joo-min-ho's timely double scored. The score is 3-3.

Hanwha took a 4-3 lead again in the top of the sixth inning when Chae Eun-sung hit Won Tae-in's change-up and crossed the left fence.

Hanwha ran 5-3 in the top of the eighth inning as Chae Eun-sung once again crossed the fence, and Jang Jin-hyuk hit a solo home run in the top of the ninth inning.

Samsung's leadoff hitter Lee Jae-hyun hit a home run in the bottom of the ninth inning, but no follow-up score came out.

Hanwha left the mound after starting pitcher Moon Dong-ju allowed three runs (two earned runs) in five innings. The batters supported a point in the top of the sixth inning at 3-3, setting the requirement for a winning pitcher and winning his sixth win (seven losses) of the season. Following Moon Dong-ju, Kim Seo-hyun (1 scoreless inning), Kim Bum-soo (1 scoreless inning), Han Seung-hyuk (1 scoreless inning), and Joo Hyun-sang (1 scoreless inning) came up one after another to keep the victory. Joo Hyun-sang made his 16th save of the season.

Samsung starter Won Tae-in lost for the sixth time (10 wins) of the season by allowing four runs in six innings. Following Won Tae-in, Lee Sang-min (⅓ innings scoreless), Lee Seung-hyun (one run in one ⅔) and Yuk Seon-yeop (⅓ innings scoreless) took the mound in turn.
