It's hard to make V12 with "Wusangba"...KIA and Aldred enter a 'week of fate'

Attention is focusing on whether the KIA Tigers and foreign pitcher Cam Aldred (28) will accompany them. With 10 days to go before the postseason registration deadline, KIA's choice is expected to be made depending on how Aldred will show in the remaining two appearances.
Aldred is 3-2 with a 4.53 ERA in 43 ⅔ innings in nine appearances. There are only three quality starts (more than six innings, less than three earned runs).

The match against Doosan in Gwangju on the 30th of last month was a match in which Aldred's weaknesses were clearly revealed. Doosan's left-handed hitters were not allowed a single hit, but only pitched four ⅓ innings (8 hits, 1 home run, 1 walk, 4 strikeouts, 7 runs) as they were beaten by right-handed hitters placed in the lower batting order.
The fact that the team deviations are severe also adds to KIA's concerns. Aldred met twice with LG, one of the leading competitors of fall baseball, and threw 12 ⅔ innings, showing an extreme performance with an ERA of zero. However, in two appearances against Samsung, another rival, he was sluggish with an 8.22 ERA in seven ⅔ innings, and in two appearances against Doosan, he has an ERA in seven ⅓ innings with 15.95.

Aldred, who was scheduled to take the mound against Hanwha in Daejeon on the 4th, has been delayed due to the cancellation of rain. As a result, he is expected to stand on the mound up to two more times before the 15th. One of these is likely to be the match against Gwangju Samsung, which is scheduled for the 9th to the 11th. The pitch against Samsung, which was weak in the previous two matches, is likely to be the stage for Aldred to decide his future. Of course, if Aldred fails to show room for rebound before then, KIA's selection period may be accelerated.
