The 'Decoration View Player of the Month' contributed to the promotion of team morale as part of the team's welfare, and was newly established this year with the support of the sponsor Decoration View. Deco View, which signed an official sponsorship contract with Jeju, is a total home styling brand with the slogan 'Styling Everyday' and provides optimal living and home styling for customers.
The 'Decoration View Player of the Month Award' is selected by combining the fan rating vote and the opinions of the coaching staff held on the club's official website after each game. At the home game, the 'Decoration View Player of the Month' award ceremony will be held, and the selected players will be given 500,000 points to purchase Decoration View products. Starting with Lim Chae-min, the first winner (March), Kim Dong-joon in April, Ahn Tae-hyun in May, and Lee Hae-ro in June, Jeong-woon was selected in July.
It is no exaggeration to say that Jeongwoon is a living legend of Jeju. Jung-woon has been playing for the longest time in the current squad since he wore the Jeju uniform in January 2016. After returning to Korea from the Croatian stage, he only wore Jeju uniforms except for the military service period (Kimpo Citizens' Soccer Team from June 2018 to January 2020).
He started the 18th round home game against Ulsan on June 23 and became the only player in Jeju to play 200 league games (176 K-League 1 games, 24 K-League 2 games), and has played eight more games since then, exceeding Lee Chang-min (204 games, while serving in the military) as the player who has played the most games with the Jeju emblem on his chest.
It is also slowly approaching the stronghold of the No. 1 player in the club's all-time record (274 games in Kim Ki-dong), which has continued since the days of the meritorious elephant. Jung-woon, who won the 'Decoration View Player of the Month' award ahead of the 26th round home game against Incheon on the 10th, became a long-time player in Jeju. That's why I feel more responsible. I want to be a person who can always give trust to all members of Jeju," he said in his acceptance speech.
