Jung Yang-seok, a former member of the National Assembly, will form a group with developmental disabilities as the new chairman of Special Olympics Korea'
Jung Yang-seok, a former member of the National Assembly, will be elected as the fifth chairman of Special Olympics Korea (hereinafter referred to as SOK), a sports and culture and arts organization for the developmentally disabled, and lead SOK for the next four years.

Chairman Chung was elected with the support of a majority of the participating delegates in the 5th SOK presidential election held at the Olympic Parktel in Songpa-gu on the 27th, and will begin his official term with the approval of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism on September 8.

Through the announcement of the pledge, Chairman Chung presented pledges such as strengthening government support related to the promotion of sports and culture for people with developmental disabilities, supporting city and provincial branches and sports committees, and supporting culture and arts jobs for people with developmental disabilities. We will do our best to help the developmentally disabled become the owner's organization."

Chairman Chung has served as the 18th, 20th member of the National Assembly and Secretary-General of People's Power.

Chairman Lee Yong-hoon, who has successfully led SOK over the past four years, leaves after handing over his position to Chung.
