KIA Tigers secured the Winning Series by overpowering SSG Landers for two consecutive days.

KIA won the match against SSG 7 to 6 at Kia Champions Field in Gwangju on the 28th. Amid the even performance in the lineup, starter Kim Do-hyun allowed three runs in four ⅓ innings on the mound, followed by a bullpen to keep the lead. Closer Jung Hae-young gave up a chase and was chased to a point, but eventually, he defended the lead and won. Following Park Chan-ho's double in the bottom of the fourth inning, Socrates made a timely hit to the right, regaining a 4-3 lead. When SSG took a chance at the top of the fifth inning with one out and runners on the first and second bases, the KIA bench called in Kim Do-hyun and chose to operate the bullpen early. SSG added Choi Jeong's four pitches to Park Sung-han's consecutive hit against KIA Jeon Sang-hyun in the top of the seventh inning, giving it a chance to complete the bases loaded with no outs and turn the tables. However, after Han Yu-sum struck out, Ha Jae-hoon scored no points as first baseman Paul Fly and Lee Ji-young grounded out.

KIA ran to 7-3 in the bottom of the seventh inning when Socrates hit a timely hit to the right with no outs and runners on the first and second bases with Choi Won-joon's hit and Park Chan-ho's walk. Kwak Do-gyu, who took the mound in the top of the eighth inning, pitched a scoreless pitch, approaching victory.

SSG followed up again to a point difference in the top of the ninth inning when Ha Jae-hoon hit a three-run shot to the left in a one-out, first and second-base chance against KIA closer Jung Hae-young. However, as Jung Hae-young filled two out-counts, he ended the game with a one-point victory.
