KIA won 7-3 in an away game against the Hanwha Eagles at Hanwha Life Eagles Park in Daejeon on the 3rd.
KIA escaped from four consecutive losses and recorded its 61st win (two draws and 42 losses) of the season. Hanwha stopped its winning streak at seven. The season record was 45 wins, two draws and 54 losses.
For KIA, Socrates Brito (left fielder), Choi Won-joon (center fielder), Kim Do-young (third baseman), Choi Hyung-woo (designated hitter), Na Sung-bum (right fielder), Kim Sun-bin (second baseman), Byun Woo-hyuk (first baseman), Han Jun-su (captor), and Park Chan-ho (striker) started the game. Yang Hyun-jong took the mound as KIA's starting pitcher.
Hanwha formed the starting lineup in the order of Jonathan Ferraza (designated hitter), Kim In-hwan (left-handed), Kim Tae-yeon (right-handed), Noh Si-hwan (third baseman), Chae Eun-sung (first baseman), An Chi-hong (second baseman), Ha Joo-seok (striker), Choi Jae-hoon (catcher), and Lee Won-seok (middle fielder). The starting pitcher of the Hanwha Eagles is Ryan Weiss.
Hanwha took the lead with a home run. An Chi-hong hit after one out, and defensive errors overlapped at Ha Joo-seok's at-bat. Choi Jae-hoon hit Yang Hyun-jong's first pitch and crossed the left fence.
There is a variable in the game. Eagles Park was blacked out, and the game was suspended for about 38 minutes. Yang Hyun-jong, who unexpectedly stopped pitching, later struck out Peraza to end the inning.
KIA recovered the score in the top of the third inning. The leadoff hitter Park Chan-ho hit a hit, and Socrates' ground ball made it one out and one base. However, he later became a runner on second base with a wild pitch, and Kim Do-young's timely hit narrowed the gap to 1-3.

A thin ice match by a single point. KIA won the game in the top of the eighth inning. The leadoff hitter Na Sung-bum hit a hit. After that, the follow-up hitter failed to hit and became two outs, but consecutive hits by Han Jun-su and Park Chan-ho widened the score to 6-3.
Hanwha seemed to set the stage for the chase with An Chi-hong's hit after two outs in the bottom of the eighth inning, but Ha Joo-seok's well-hit ball went straight to the fielder, swallowing regret.
KIA sealed the game by adding one more point with Park Jung-woo's first triple following Kim Do-young's double in the top of the ninth inning.
