Starting pitcher Choi Won-joon pitched well with two runs in five innings, earning his fifth win (six losses) of the season, and the bullpen's relay pitching came out.

Samsung starter Connor Seabold allowed four runs in five innings, his sixth loss of the season (9 wins).

On this day, Doosan formed the starting lineup in the order of Jung Soo-bin (center fielder), Lee Yoo-chan (second baseman), Jarrod Young (left fielder), Yang Eui-ji (catcher), Yang Seok-hwan (first baseman), Kim Jae-hwan (designated hitter), Jeon Min-jae (third baseman), Kim Jae-ho (striker), and Cho Soo-haeng (right fielder).

In the top of the fourth inning, Doosan broke its long silence. When Jared's fastball from the corner came high in the strike zone, he hit it as it was and crossed the right fence. Jared hit his seventh home run of the season.

Doosan succeeded in turning the tables in the top of the fifth inning. After leadoff hitter Kim Jae-ho got a walk, Jeon Min-jae turned to a fly ball, but Kim Jae-ho's walk created a chance with one out and runners on first and second bases. Cho hit a ground ball and became a first and third base with two outs, but stole second base. Cho, who also stole in the third inning, recorded his 58th stolen base of the season, surpassing Jung Soo-geun (57 steals) in 1999 and recording the most stolen bases ever by the Bears.

Doosan then loaded the bases with Jung Soo-bin's walk, and Lee Yoo-chan's two-run timely hit and Jared's hit turned the game around 4-2.
